Glad I read through this thread so I know I can completely disregard the OPs opinion. All-star level player, 20 pitch sample size lol. Wow.

I played against him on HOF last night and hit him around fairly well. But I’m sure he does well if u know how to change speeds effectively. Sinkers spammers won’t be good with him
-
I jus got dominated by him on HOF. It’s was hard to pick up his pitches but the guy missed spots I missed so many sliders that he hung and high change ups... on the other hand I gave up 7 all in the 2nd. And not even 1 hit after smh I just had a terrible game

By your response, you obviously haven't read anything in between, or at minimum the last response I wrote.
But that's ok.

My first start with him. In the 700s
7 IP, 13 K, 0 ER, 3 H
My opponent was not a great hitter but a good pitcher. Similar to me...
Either way, Bret was fun. Amazing pin point control

Yes, he is amazing against less than stellar hitters.

Are you in the 700's?

Yes, currently 734. (You can look up any players' ratings in the 'Standings/Stats & History' tab)
This will be my last response in this thread/post.
I think his stuff will dominate any hitters that are less than stellar. You may even have success with him against decent or good hitters, and that's great. All I am saying is THAT I feel I will not do well with him against good hitters and feel I will have a much better chance with other starters available than him, that's all.

No I did. You play on all-star. Any pitcher can be lit up on all-star.

He's a 97 diamond, but I personally think he's no different than 83 gold version. The speed differential between his fastball and offspeed pitches is hardly noticeable. If your opponent is able to sit on pitches, you'll be dead in the water because that's all you really have to resort to because of an ineffective fastball.
You'll figure this out in the 1st inning, which I didn't make it past the 2nd because of a HR off me because of a forced pitch down the middle. I wasn't willing to deal with this scenario for 7 more innings, so unfortunately I decided to dashboard, sold him back to the market and moved on.
This was my opinion about him based on my experience. If you use him, hopefully your experience will be different.
Sounds more like you need to learn how to pitch.

I watched McGunsky struggle with him. Some pitches went exactly where he was targeting, others missed completely and towards middle of the plate.
Not suggesting this is any type of feedback because we all know you need to get a feel for how different cards play/function before truly forming an opinion. And, let's face it. What makes players like Gunsky is not their pitching as much as it is their ability to crush the ball. Half the time they probably win inspite of their pitching.
