Buy packs.
I also just had one where my SS (FB Mondesi) was indicated to catch a pop up behind third. He ran over, ran back and forth in place before the ball landed right where he was pacing, the LF had to pick it up, and the batter took second base.
In the same game, a short looper to RF. Immediately the dark red “potential web gem” catch thing lights up 20 feet in front of my guy (LS Trey Mancini). I move forwards, and easily make the catch chest-high with no effort Whatsoever from a pretty bad fielder. Wind was blowing in. What was all that about?

I had something similar yesterday, but not as egregious. Pop up behind 2nd, and I switched to my second baseman, but he wouldnt turn around to catch it. I tried to get him in the circle for the easy catch, but he kept facing toward the outfield fence, and it ended up hitting him in the back.
