...But something [something] gives me the vibe right now SDS isn't exactly doing quality work. My hopes for The Show 21 aren't all that high seeing the new patch notes. Don't be surprised if there's a lot of scorebugs at release.

at least it'll be a new system so they can finally have a graphics jump. seems like the game hasnt looked better in like 4 years now.

One of a couple things will probably happen.

1. SDS will make some minor improvements that aren't noticeable to us that have played it for many years, but the new wave of players that don't know any better will come dump millions and millions of dollars into it and we will be stuck with he same canned game year after year that we have now because why try at that point if your SDS. RNG runs rampant because they have to keep all of those new players interested in playing and pumping more money.

2. All those other console players buy the game and think it is pretty great for about a week. They start to notice all of the flaws in the game and if SDS think the community is toxic now.... well lets see what adding cross platform players into the mix does when the product doesn't ever improve even after pages and pages of community feedback.

3. SDS actually is preparing for next gen and we get a game that is great and that is actually based on user input.

4. And this one I am really hoping for! Another studio comes along and puts out a realistic baseball game where it will actually force some competition and innovation. Because if you're the only game in town what is your motivation at all to improve on something if year after year nothing is driving you to do better.

With this game going multi platform next year, the skill gap is going to be incredibly low.

They’ll probably promote directional with analog input and call it the “hit stick” or something.

They need to hook as many first time players as they can next year.

It’s a business. I get. Don’t hold your breath for better gameplay next year. It will be atrocious.

While I do think they have mailed it in until 21, being mad that they had a patch that doesn’t effect gameplay compared to no patch at all is a bit stupid
