User input should be the most important factor in deciding outcomes, but it is not always reasonable to get angry or disappointed for losing to a "worse" or "terrible" opponent. As there is some degree of "randomness" in competition, and the better team or player does not always win.
Another possibility, however, is that your loss may be a result that your opponent is not as bad as you think they are....or possibly, you are not as good as you think you are?Why shouldn’t the better player always be able to win while playing a video game? It’s kinda the reason why we practice to get better. It’s crazy to me that someone would be ok with losing to a lesser opponent when you clearly outplayed them.

Remove the ability to check swing and the game immediately becomes 2x better.
That and call strikes on the black strikes. If that and check swings were at least called much more the random pitching wouldn’t matter as much because people couldn’t just sit on meatballs.

As much as I would love the check swing and foul ball bandits be be gone, it is part of baseball, I'd just like it toned down.

The comments about player retention on here are incessant, and yet SDS seems to have no problem whatsoever retaining the people who are making these comments in addition to the people who need retaining that they claim the game supposedly caters to in these posts. The depth of knowledge and experience the folks have who are making these comments indicate that they keep coming back themselves regardless of their dissatisfaction. Quite interesting. When I'm that fed up with something, I move along; curious as to why others don't.
Classic apologist. "Don't play it." "Go play another game"
I would if there was any competition. You typed a lot of words for no reason.
There are absolutely other great baseball games available, one just dropped a week ago for $45. The demo is available for free. But, I bet you won't play it

How do you know your opponent makes worse swings if you can’t see their PCI

Because I can read the feedback such as late/weak...early/ok....etc compared to my hits of good/good or perfect.

It's about even, it's a fun game and I really enjoy it. Give it a shot, I'm sure their forums would love the positive energy you bring to the community. In fact, I bet this community would buy the game for you if it meant you shut up for a week about connection problems (That no one else has but you. Stop using the wifi from McDonalds, buy your own).

Ok when a good squared for chipper jones facing a lefty is a weak fly ball but a good okay is a homerun that is a problem
How is that a problem? Do you know how baseball works?
I would say you're right but this theme is far to common to just say, that's baseball

OK, you post about contact results on a minute by minute basis (look at your history). I connected that to lag/connection issues. Maybe you actually believe SDS is out to get you and determines your results via RNG. If that's the case and I misunderstood your position, I'm sorry.
Yes, SDS hates you and programmed the game to force you to lose. OK

Because the grapics are great, the way that DD is organized is great. Above all, there is no other baseball game. I'm sorry but the gameplay is not good. Not even close. I wish that there was something we could do to help SDS make the game more playable.

Just curious, but what exactly is your take on this game? Beyond attacking the other poster, what issues do you feel this game has (if any)?

Thanx for letting me know but I think I'll stick to playing TS and hopes that it will improve.

Actually didn't defend anything as an apologist would. Mind you, I have no idea what is going on under the hood, so it would be hard to accuse or defend something other than anecdotally and based upon handpicked situations.
I merely pointed out that they are able to retain folks regardless of the stated unhappiness with suspected game mechanics. If those folks don't move along, and will come back next year anyway; SDS is simply better suited focusing on borderline folks since it's evidently inherently good enough for the dedicated folks to return.
MLB is doing the same thing by focusing on making games shorter - the diehards and traditionalists may not like it, but they aren't going anywhere, so maybe good to focus on the folks not buying/returning consistently? MLB would listen if it affected the product enough to reduce the gate, but the bottom line is those diehards still love the game enough to return despite their complaints, and likely have metrics to back the reasoning.
If you don't like the apparent game mechanics yet keep buying and playing, you send a message that it's good enough for you. Walking away would be what indicates that their choices were poor.

What am I supposed to do when I buy the game based on the hitting engine advertised and then the developers change it two days after national release?

Learn your lesson since they do this every year.

Wait a week and use feedback here on TSN as a guide.

I've been playing daily since 2015 and I don't remember any year where they yanked the rug out so fast and in a hurry.
I challenge anybody to go back and watch the pre release dev tourney or any streams from the week 1 early release just to see how much this game has changed. Look at the variety of hit types in those streams and compare them to today. It's night and day.

Last year, though it took them a couple weeks as opposed to a couple days this year.
