While I understand why, (I myself really don't play ranked at all anymore), most of the top guys tend to complain no matter what. Not trying to paint a large brush, there are some tolerable ones, but they'd find something to complain about even if the game was good
-
I think you’ve pointed out a huge hole in the streaming community — somebody could be very successful if they are positive, don’t take the game so freaking seriously, and if they don’t talk about porn nonstop.
-
The sense of entitlement is overwhelming. You hit the ball hard, great. IT IS NOT A PROMISE OF A HIT. Grow the hell up.

I was bored and hopped into some streams of the top players. They all had one thing in common; literally nobody is having fun. Win or lose. Frustration all around. Good times.
Yup been my experience too, wish I could say different
Same, there is a reason why I played under 25 RS games so far.
RS just isn't fun when you start getting higher. The issues become more glaring. I have more fun tanking down to 400. I get to see different lineups and pitchers and don't see near the issues that I frequently see higher. They are definitely still present just not as frequent.
Do you send all oponents nasty PSN messages, drag out the game so it takes an hour only to delay the inevitable?
I had a dude send me 12 messages in a 3 inning game. My notifications are off so I didnt see them until after the game.

You are spot on. I always look to see who's on twitch playing this game, and all of the top ones are guys that are really good and they spend the whole time complaining how the game is broken. Every time they don't get perfect input on a pitch, the game is broken.
Every time they get Good/Okay, the game is broken. All the while, the chat is either filled with guys complaining how the game is broken or people asking for advice and being told to just be late/okay and they will be fine. Then with three innings left, they decide to lock in and then end up scoring 10 runs and winning. So, they spend the whole time complaining about input not mattering, but then win when they start to focus.Don't get me wrong. These guys have played the game a lot and have every right to make complaints and point out the issues with the game.
But, for a guy like me, I'd love to just watch a guy who really enjoys the game, is excited about a good win, and doesn't get pissed every other pitch because the game is broken.

Pretty sure I said and I quote "If you want to be like that, I will drag this game out as long as I can. Nasty messages, lol. Go ahead and report that one to PSN. They would probably get a good laugh.
If you want to watch every 380 ft HR when the computer basically forces pitches down the middle, I will drag the game out as much as possible. I gave you a chance and you kept watching like you've never hit a HR before. If you would have stopped, I wouldn't have drug the game along.
I could obviously care less about my RS record or I wouldn't tank to get down. Making a game last long isn't going to effect me. I don't take this game seriously but am not going to sit there and watch someone that can only hit cpu force fed balls down the middle have to replay such a wonderful accomplishment. Good job, you're great!

Streamers aside my own personal enjoyment with this game is rather minimal and it has nothing to do with wins/losses either. Last year I played over 500 RS games and was maybe 15 or so games above .500. Made it into the 800's a couple times and was happy for the most part. Were there moments of extreme annoyance/frustration? Of course. But I actually enjoyed the game. I felt like the cards I grinded for or bought with stubs (spent an extra $300 on the game) were worthwhile as in I could see that a better card helped me out some. This year? Not really.
I play mainly because I stopped playing madden in January and I have time for one game only. I dont play RS that much, instead focusing on events and showdowns... basically just chasing card rewards in case we get to a point where the game feels fun again.
If I had another game to play then I'd probably stop with mlb altogether.
I only came back to console games two years ago after an 8 year hiatus for kids and career focus (14 years in school... it was time to make that [censored] money lol) and it actually seems like game designers, across the board, are struggling to put out GOOD sports games that function as they SHOULD. Either I need to lower my expectations or stop altogether. Issue is my son has started to get into gaming a bit and it's something I enjoy doing with him.

Follow me, I just get high and sit there laughing at all the crazy animations, glitches and blown calls. Can’t promise I’ll ever get a hit even if the stream lasts 12 hours, but I don’t [censored]. Much.

Lol. I have one had that works guy. Wounded in Iraq .Excuse me if i take a break. I also explained that to you. You got smashed by a cripple.

You hit 2 HR's on force fed middle pitches and watched them both. I sent you that message. You hit another one and watched it again. I did not see a message from you. I have messages off. So it's OK for you to waste my time watching replays but not for me? Gotcha. Again, congrats on the win. I lost a lot of sleep on that one.

What issues are more glaring in the higher ranks besides needing to throw over to first and pause the game for over an hour because you’re a grown [censored] child that can’t take a L?

No, wired fiber. You can't play serious on that. I listed most of the issues I see in another thread. It is bad.

I don't care what you do. You had zero reason to message me. Who the hell messages someone knowing you cant get one back? A coward. Thats who.

A handful have positive attitudes. It's pretty much all comp gaming now is just crying about everything you lose the RNG dice roll on.
That is all twitch players...I never understood why people even give them attention, they are nobodies.

Haha, I was just taking the [censored]. Someone else actually told me the game plays better for them on WiFi and tried to explain about lag compensation and so on, I wasn’t confident enough in what I was hearing to unplug my LAN and go wireless, but FWIW, you’re not the only one who says this kind of thing.

I have quit out of probably 40 rs games. My record is 101-77. You really think I care about losses? If I did, I either wouldn't quit out of games or wouldn't play RS altogether. Who said anything about throwing to first? I don't think I threw over to first all game. I just took the allotted time in between pitches and at the end of the game. So that is bad but watching every HR replay and pausing the game so you can check the batter analysis isn't? Ok.

Yea, I don't think I ever threw over to first so that tells me a lot about you. I took the time in between pitches and at the end of the game. Just wow.

Just a heads up...people who watch their HR are never in the right about anything
