Seems like a Trevor Hoffman is overdue.

Hoffman has a BR card. I doubt we see another card of his until much later.

I have a feeling we'll be getting a big-time power-hitting OF for the 4th Inning and I wouldn't be shocked if we got a starter and a reliever. If I had to guess who we'll be getting, I'll take a shot in the dark and say:
- Giancarlo Stanton, RF [Miami Marlins] -- 96 OVR
- Rich Gossage, CP [New York Yankees] -- 97 OVR
- Matt Williams, 3B [San Francisco Giants] -- 97 OVR
-
How about starter, reliever, and a catcher.
I'm thinking SS Nenn(rating fits, but timing doubtful), Flashback prime Verlander, and then Jimmie Foxx. Haven't had a real old legend yet and he fits the catcher mold. Also would be great power bar.

I think maybe 2 new legends in the game and a flashback. New legends probably not their max cards but something like breakout, rookie, or all-star card. In their streams close to release I think they talked about having a lot of new legends and can’t see them waiting till the end to release them.
I think probably a new pitching legend like Pedro, Johnson, Halladay, or a relief pitcher
Probably a new legend position player and a flashback, with how content is now wouldn’t be surprised if it was another shortstop lol
I think Pedro, Johnson, and Halladay would be launch time players. Those are big named guys who would be used to sell copies of the game. And the best time to do that is at launch.

I could see a flash back David Ortiz. Not the best card he'll get this year but say a 96 OVR postseason card. I also think we could get a true LF. The Lou Brock, Luis Gonzalez or Matt Holiday Signature cards from last year would be in the appropriate range. With no pitcher in the 3rd inning I think we'd be set for one here as well.
A 96 would probably be the highest David Ortiz card. He has zero defensive ability or speed so I don't see how he could get a 99.
And he didn't hit lefties as well for his career either.Buddy he batted 300 through most of his career and hit bombs he is a first ballot easy which means he deserves a 99

And he didn't hit lefties as well for his career either.Defense doesn’t matter at 1st. It’s been proven again this year
It matters for ratings purposes though. It doesn’t matter in game, but does effect ratings. The only reason Frank Thomas was a 99 last year was because of insane hitting attributes. He was better than Ortiz, and Ortiz’s attributes vs L will hold him back from getting a 99.
Ortiz is a well known name in baseball. Just for that fact alone he will be a 99. Ratings don’t hold any weight when compared to a name. When you look at a lot of 99 overall players, a lot of the time their numbers don’t exactly look like they should be a 99 but they’re a well know player. In reality every 99 should look like Mantle but they don’t.

I want to see Thurman Munson in the game. I bet he will be a beast. If they ever put him in the game.
-
Mattingly, Parker, Carter.
That's my prediction.
