Nothing makes me put in a buy order for event rewards faster than seeing the words “6 innings, quick counts”. Very effective marketing. Thanks to those with the patience to play this out and sell the cards.

The TA/stat grind thing is actually a really good point. I hadn’t thought of that.

I played one game just now not knowing that there were quick counts and lost horribly. I will never participate in a quick count event. This idea for an event is fire worthy. I want to play baseball, not some sped up nonsense of a game.

I actually don't mind it for a change of pace. And as someone mentioned earlier, it burns thru TA innings if that interests you? Also a very quick way to pile up stats for prestige cards. Yes I know only Mantle and Chipper would apply here but there will be other events.

As someone who might be one of the least patient players in this game lol I am THRIVING so far in part 2. Much quicker ABs and my opp doesn’t take pitches the entire AB so I like that more to my strength.
Then the innings grind is the cherry on top. More player options with silvers allowed (even tho I’m still chucking all diamonds) is a breeze thru 6 if it even goes that long -

Inning grind is sweet, and it’s a nice change of pace. I know it’s hard (impossible for some) but just stay calm and enjoy the different settings. It’s something you’ll never really play again for a long time.

I had 60 wins in event one. So this event isn’t worth playing sadly.
C’mon SDS, you could have added a little at the end for people that already grinded it out.

The game is terrible trash no matter how the mode is set up online so what’s really the difference.

I need like 15 runs with Chipper to prestige, this is probably a better way of getting there than ranked

I actually like quick counts, while it takes some control out of the game, it makes it more fast paced and fun in my opinion

I played one game so far, was down 1-0 afyer the first, had Helton come up and tie it up with a HR and then the dreaded HR banner didn't disappear and my next guy up struck out on one pitch because I had no idea what the count was. Ended up giving up 7 runs next inning because I was pissed and lost focus.

Yeah I finished mantle and chipper I’m part two but was at 60 also, so once that got done today there is no reason to play event. Would have loved even some crappy pack bait to keep me going lol. I guess it’s less to distract me from ranked now which I’ve neglected for over a week. And I have two shiny red diamonds to bring in to battle, so it’s cool either way but I was enjoying event. The 6 inning quick count is not my cup of tea, really really dislike quick counts
