People should stop complaining about it. Not that I bunt but I understand the reasoning behind it.

When someone tries to bunt 4 out of 4 times with a guy with 90+ speed and gets on base nearly every time, even when I’m expecting it. I have a problem with that lol

For some reason I laughed too hard reading this.

I don't think people complain about bunting as a tactic. As the first reply says the issue is with the ease to get one down and the success rate of the bunt. Especially the squeeze play with cards with low bunting attributes. There should be way more pop outs with these cards.

I dont have near the same success bunting, in particular against the CPU when the situation calls for it, that other people have. I dont get it. I can never bunt for hits and sacrificing usually leads to double plays (or bunts popped up in the infield). What am I doing wrong?

I'm the same way I stopped even trying to bunt after having such a hard time bunting for a hit with Mondesi, meanwhile guys I'm facing get bunts for hits with ease even with shifts.

Bunting against the shift, just fine.
Sac bunting to advance the runner. Cool.

Dropping a drag bunt to the 2nd basemen to exploit the defense? Duck off.

Can someone tell me how to bunt as efficiently as I see all these complaints about?

I have an all speed team and I'm lucky to putndown one bunt for a hit let alone 4 out of 4 times with one batter. Half the time its a pop up or straight down the first base line and way too hard for my guy to beat it out.

    What am I missing here?

Same here. For the Jackie Robinson moments, someone said he was a bunt machine. So I tried to pick up some of the hits that way and had no luck

I don’t have a problem with someone bunting with a good bunter bc this years meta screws over high contact low power cards. I just find it annoying when a person bunts 3x in a row and it always turns out that they can’t actually hit at all worth a [censored]

Learn how to shift, play defense, and how to pitch when expecting a bunt.

I love people like this that complain then say they throw a guy bunting curveballs in cover drag defense lmao

I often bunt when the shift is being played against me. Other wise, I don't.

I’m it sure if I’ve been an.e to lay down a successful bunt at all this year, I either foul them off or pop them up.

And if I’m trying a sac if I don’t steal with the runner on first he always gets thrown out at 2nd and half them time ends up a double play. And then when I do steal with the runner I’ll miss the bunt and get thrown out at 2nd lol

Bunting is just fine. It is MLB ball players not being able to reach down and pick up a ball rolling at 17 mph that is broke. Or if they do make that miraculous grab, they decide to come set and wind up on their throw to first base.

Yeah, the speed of the throws and tags is off.

The issue isn't necessarily that an Ichiro level bunter can get on a couple times a game with bunts. It's that anyone with 85+ speed can get on 3+ times a game no matter where the pitcher puts it. If Ozzie Smith bunted for a couple hits on me, Fine. When Jimmy Rollins does it??????????????

When players start bunting with Gary Sanchez or whatever, its just not really baseball anymore.

Some People don’t like it when somebody bunts a lot but that same person who’s mad at them for “bunt cheesing”, usually has their own quirk about them like only throwing 102 mph fastballs or up and in sinkers, or taking an extra lead every pitch, etc. We all have our ways lol
