I swear most of the people on here have to be young with all the constant whining. Some of then need a reality check

Honestly I think a lot of the hardcore whiners are in their 30s man. About once a year there is a “what is your age” post and the overwhelming majority of the regular posters are 30-50

I would be curious to see a "have you played high school ball or higher" post for the people who work at SDS. I know a couple of gaming programmers and all they played was rec ball.

I'm not happy with SDS, not one bit. No Braves cards were released today, SAD!! I know some will argue that since Hamels is on the team currently he should count, but he has yet to throw a meaningful pitch in a Braves uniform. If the season starts maybe I will change my mind.

We miss the great Joe Mauer, the lack of new Braves cards has me looking for a new outlet!!

It’s a video game, it’s designed by nerds not athletes. You want the guy that played ball all his life and fell short to come make your baseball game? Or the guy that’s been using computers his entire life. You certainly aren’t going to find a guy that almost made the big leagues but quit to pursue his passion of making video games.

Especially with covid-19 happening, there’s more important things going on in the world than complaining about Correa & the Astros. But guys complaining about a Virtual baseball card in a video game(Carlos Correa) POTM version. And complaining about the 2017 Houston Astros. It’s like groundhog’s day whenever Houston is brought up. I guess everyone is perfect and no one is deserving of second chances. It’s so tiring hearing the same thing over and over again. I accepted their apologies, & I think it’s better for everyone if we could just move on. I’m not defending what they did at all. I can agree with everyone on that. But as the old saying goes...”if you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all”. And at least my Detroit Tigers lose the right way! 😂 Lol

They haven't let Charlie Hustle in the HOF yet! The asstros broke the rules and got off light.

Yes, I highly doubt anyone at SDS played competitive baseball. That's why I wish there was a post about it. But, you'll be surprised how many baseball guys went to a great computer engineering school. Too bad they didn't get a degree in it.

I don't think any of them will have a HOF career. Maybe Altuve because of his early days.

Everybody steals signs. They got caught with evidence. That's all. You want to ban all who steal signs? Say goodbye to baseball. It's over. Won't be done that way again. Move on.

There are things in life that do deserve a second chance. Disrespecting the game of baseball and cheating the world series (and who knows how much of the season or previous seasons) is NOT something that deserves a second chance. You cheat on your wife and get caught, that deserves a second chance.

Yo I was born on Groundhog Day so the slander stops right there lol. But in all seriousness, Covid sucks, I work in a grocery store so I’m experiencing a new normal most people arent. Shoutout to the medical professionals for all their hard work. The politicians handling this issue have all been changing face about the whole thing but that’s what those people do. THE ASTROS SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE FIELD IN 2020 FOR THEIR TREACHEROUS CHEATING WAYS. STRIP THE TITLE, POSTSEASON BAN. Don’t care what happens to the players cuz they’ll get hit enough times to have their careers derailed. Content wise it doesn’t matter, there are cards that are available and SDS did what they could.

Hopefully we don’t see it, it would just be another reason for the haters to bash them if they did and it didn’t meet expectations.

Baseball ‘s baseball, whether you’ve played rec for two years or professionally for 20, you still get enough of a feel for it to make a game out of it. From there, research would be enough - watching games, analysing plays, physics, feedback from players when it comes to the mo-caps and animations... The hardest part is to get it play out as it should when it’s all put together into a play, or a game. And that play satisfying each of the game’s 800,000+ players.

We didn’t even get real apologies from them though.

Basically all of them were non-apologies. “I’m sorry I got caught.” That kind of stuff. They are scum that do not deserve to be celebrated or praised.

The best part about baseball coming back will be seeing astros players get drilled with 100 mph spheres.

Nobody would even be talking about them right now if it weren’t for SDS’s abysmal and immoral decision making.

Should SDS remove guys like Aroldis Chapman from the game? He beat and choked his girlfriend before irresponsibly discharging a firearm through his garage. Roberto Osuna as well threw a woman through a glass window I believe? These things are much more serious than a baseball scandal...

There are players in the game that tested positive for illegal PEDs, which gives just as much benefit or more than sign espionage.

Don't get me wrong, i find the Astros espionage vile, but if you think you're just going to remove them from the game it's silly because you are not doing that anywhere else for other infractions.

Get over it. If you don't like them -- then don't acquire them!

While the domestic violence cases may be more serious, they aren’t baseball related. They are personal issues unrelated to the game.

PEDs do not offer the same advantage that knowing what pitch is coming offers. A bad hitter with steroids will still be a bad hitter. A good hitter with steroids will hit more homeruns, but that’s about it. Many MLB players have even said that knowing what pitch is coming gives a greater advantage than PEDs.

What the Astros did is by far the most serious baseball scandal in modern times. The sheer scale and severity of it makes it much worse than an individual player using steroids, anyways.

Nobody is saying Astros players should be removed from the game. They just shouldn’t be propped up on a pedestal and celebrated for accomplishments that are illegitimate. When other options are available, astros should be the very last choice. Not chosen over other better options for no reason.

Stop comparing what they did with other issues to try and downplay the severity of their actions. It’s pointless and makes you look utterly morally bankrupt.

    Ok Karen.

Look, I already very clearly stated what they did was vile, and I will not be acquiring any of these players. I advise you don't either as you obviously don't like them.

If you are asking a video game to provide you your moral compass that's your problem.

Enjoy your cancel culture, this will pass shortly and you'll be upset about something else that needs to be discontinued in the near future I'm sure...

Ah yes, me not wanting cheaters to be celebrated and praised makes me a Karen. That’s totally definitely what being a Karen means.

People make these decisions to prop up cheaters, they are the ones with no morals. I think it’s fair to question them, and call them out for being completely immoral.

Again, there’s not a single reason for SDS to have put Correa, Springer, or anybody from the 2017 Astros in such prominent roles. Instead of doing the right thing and disregarding these players, they have gone out of their way to praise and support them. It’s wrong, and it’s sick.
