Just wanted to look back and see some of the cards we could see next month and there are some interesting cards.

Who will get the "lightning guy/hero card?"
Our options from each game are... Cody Bellinger (94) from The Show 17, Paul Goldschmidt (92) from The Show 18, and Charlie Blackmon (95) from The Show 19.

Out of those three, I'd say it's more than likely that we'll be getting The Show 18's Paul Goldschmidt but hopefully with a little better ratings as for whatever reason, The Show 18's POTM cards had some unmistakably conservative ratings as the Goldschmidt clocked in at only a 92 overall. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

What were the other June POTM cards from past years?
WIth the introduction of The Show 20's Classics choice pack, we actually already have a June POTM card from The Show 17 with the Gary Sanchez (87) available through the XP Path.

The other two diamonds that featured alongside Sanchez & the hero Bellinger were Jose Ramirez (93) and Chase Anderson (90). At the time of The Show 17, the rating scale was much different than it is today with 85-89 being gold tier and 90 overall and above being diamond. The three gold cards for the month of June were Jacob Faria (86), Mike Zunino (88), and David Hernandez (88).

In The Show 18 alongside Paul Goldschmidt (92), we got Blake Treinen (85), Jesus Aguilar (85), and the late Tyler Skaggs (85). The gold cards were Zach Eflin (81), Juan Soto (82), Shin-Soo Choo (82), and Max Muncy (83). Obviously we won't be seeing Skaggs but I think the other two in Treinen and Aguilar have a good shot.

Finally, we get to The Show 19 and what was one of the more disappointing POTM hero card releases, in my opinion, with Charlie Blackmon. Luckily, the diamonds released alongside him were pretty cool with Yordan Alvarez (87), Liam Hendriks (88), Lance Lynn (89) and D.J. Lemahieu (90). Alongside these five diamonds, there were four gold cards released as well. These cards were Jordan Yamamoto (81), Eric Sogard (81), Giovanny Gallegos (82), and Scott Kingery (83).

Who do you think will be included alongside the hero card for the June POTM program?
If I had to guess, I'd say we'll probably get:

    • Blake Treinen (85)
    • Jesus Aguilar (85)
    • Lance Lynn (89)
    • D.J. Lemahieu (90)
    • Paul Goldschmidt (92)

I think they could re-work some ratings/overalls here as I think they've done already for these. But yeah, this is what I'm expecting. Tell me what you guys think!

I’d guess, Aguilar, Hendriks, Anderson, Lemehiu, Goldschmidt.

I think we see one from each year at least.

    This gives 1-2-2.
Anderson was a beast so I’m hopeful there over that buns Lance Lynn card.

Alvarez was a fan favorite as well so I wouldn’t be surprised if he finds a way into this.

I would say Treinen doesn’t get one because he will get that 90 Ovr 2018 flashback, while Hendriks will most likely not have a better card this year

Yeah, that would probably make a bit more sense. I don't think anyone is losing their mind to use a diamond Lance Lynn anyway.

I agree with your guesses except one, I think it will be Goldie instead, Blackmon already has the FF card and bellinger 3rd highest LS ,so they'll give it to the one who is only a gold

So you said we’ll most likely get Goldschmidt first, but changed it to Blackmon at the end?

2018 Treinen should be even better this year with Outlier, can’t wait for it.

I would like to see them include some of the gold level players into the program.

The fact they are dropping to whole program in one day make me think we will see some slight changes from the first program

I hope Bellinger, that would make his LS card drop.

Looks like Goldschmidt is about to get a Signature, so that mean the only June lightning card without a 2nd card is Bellinger.

I'm pretty sure people buying Bellinger to use him has nothing to do with his price, mostly all about the collections.

Bellinger makes the most sense, with the other 2 having extra cards. Plus he's deserving of having a high rated card, being a top 10 player in the game today

No, there are no shortstops. Something is clearly off here.

Lmao! I actually meant to say Goldschmidt. It was so late when I posted this.

I posted this so late at night, and after giving this a second pass-through and time to give some second thoughts, I think for the month of June we'll actually get:

    "Hero/Lightning Guy" Card

    • Paul Goldschmidt, 1B [Arizona Diamondbacks] -- 94 OVR
I'll admit that it would be very cool if they gave us that Cody Bellinger but I worry that SDS would think that would "kill off" the Live Series Bellinger's price-tag. Which in all honesty, I don't think it would and even if it did a bit, the NL West still has Nolan Arenado but I do think that SDS will hold off because of that. Then there's Charlie Blackmon, and well, seeing how they passed on Josh Bell for Carlos Correa, I think they may not want to give us the "hero/lightning guy" cards from The Show 19. Obviously the other POTM cards are up for grabs (Tim Anderson, Tyler Glasnow, etc.)

That leaves us with Goldschmidt, who I think will see his overall boosted a bit as The Show 18's release of the card at a 92 overall felt wrong in the first place. In all honesty, I wouldn't be thrilled to go after this card but I'd rather get Goldschmidt than Charlie Blackmon.

    The Other Four Diamonds

    • Jesus Aguilar, 1B [Milwaukee Brewers] -- 85 OVR

    • Yordan Alvarez, LF [Houston Astros] -- 87 OVR

    • Liam Hendriks, CP [Oakland Athletics] -- 88 OVR

    • D.J. Lemahieu, 2B [New York Yankees] -- 90 OVR

Gomesdalegend did a RS game with only monthly awards cards and there wasn't a single outfielder, so it almost has to be at least one in there. Right?

I bet we’ll see a Skaggs. And if he gives up a HR, we can just blame the catcher for calling the pitch!

Bumping this to help figure out which cards to invest in right now. I got a bunch of silver 1B, probably safe to have at least 1 in the program?

Same here, invested in 20 Muncys and 10 Crons, I will thank them if they drop Aguilar first!

No because Bellinger is a gatekeeper to Mantle. His price will only go down after lots of people get Mantle so sometime in late August/September would be my guess that he drops in price.
