What is up with the nameplate market?

Every nameplate has 20+ orders that after tax are well below the quick sell value

Yeah nobody buys those things so I'm sort of surprised that there are that many buy orders.
That said I finished off the Yankees collection last night and bought all my 80/81s for 1k buy orders (so the seller got less than qs). I don't know why people do that but they do
