Been at it around 6-7 weeks now nms. NL is done and I have Trout, Cole, Verlander and Chapman in the AL as far as diamonds go. I'll start finishing the last 7 teams (with al diamonds) once I get my diamond level 85 free live series diamond
I've spent very little on packs but I've had good luck too (packed 3 Bellingers but didn't sell for close to what they are now).

I havent really packed much in the way of good diamonds. I did get Scherzer and Arenado early when they weren't worth much but the 6 other diamonds I got were the lowest. I am 4 cards away from buying the collection. I haven't spent anything at all nor have I spent any time flipping but my lord, I've logged way too many hours in MTO to do the affinities. Done 15 of them now and have about 95k from there plus whatever I've earned selling the cards I get from packs. It is doable but it takes a lot of time and effort. If you are really good and can get to World Series in ranked, you'll do it a whole lot faster than I can.

I doubt my parents would let me cash out $500, though I would!Took me a month straight of flipping,never leaving auction house. just flipping and flipping and more flipping..my left eyes vision got sooo blurry after 2 weeks straight but it's fine now an I finished all collections....I highly recommend always starting with trout then the next high priced diamond then the next...there's like 7 of them...after that just go team by team in a division..pick Al or NL to do first ... remember it's easier to get 25 k than it is 375k that's why every year I get trout first an fast as I can before his price skyrockets because once it does it won't come back down maybe a tad but not much

I shelled out $1200 day one to get the 99 Mantle. As a Yankees fan I have been waiting YEARS for him to be put in the game. Look, I know alot of people will come at me for doing this but I’m 42 years old, At a comfortable place in my life & able to afford to do this. The bottom line - I didn’t want to wait until 1/2 the year was gone before I got to use him. And I’m glad I did it, He has been SO MUCH fun to play with. Hands down the best DD player EVER.

Grind away on showdowns. With the amount of packs you get you should be able to complete collections in no more than two months. Also sell everything, including event rewards. Granted everything is way more expensive now, grinding is the way to go.

I can give you advice for investing if you want. Turn 20k into potentially 60k or even 100k.

Good for you...There are much worse things that people spend their money on.
The way I see it...if I am going to work and spend 90% of my income on utilities, mortgage, etc. then I am not going to worry about what some little boy on the internet says about how I choose to spend my personal fun and entertainment funds. -
I'm an average hitter at best but so far I am extremely disappointed by 99 mantle. Dude gets owned by bronze pitchers as well.
