69 game hit streak in majors....Pitch hit

No coach with half a brain would not pitch hit with somebody with a 20 game hit streak or higher. This is just one example that the manager needs updated intelligence. I'm sure others have had problems with managers ideas.

Yeah, that happened all the time back in '19. Perfect excuse to dashboard if you can't get that hit.

I hated that idiotic quirk of the game. Since it wasn't even close to reality, if I didn't get a hit in the pinch hit at-bat, I didn't save and replayed the game. Sometimes I would pinch hit again and get the hit, others I sat for the game. Either way, it was my way of forcing a little bit of reality work-around into the game.

Unless you’re Mickey Callaway pinch hitting Wilson Ramos last year. The number of pinch hits or walks he got in his (circa) 27 game streak was awesome.
