The best punishment would be to make Altuve bat shirtless for 3 seasons.

Even if the buzzergate turns out to be false, they (and all the other members of the 2017 roster) already have been proven to have cheated.
But since the MLBPA negotiated amnesty for all players as part of the investigation, none of them will face any discipline. Beltran retired so he didn't get amnesty.

No way, look at every college program that has had wins vacated including titles. The Astros are 2017 Champions forever. Is there a stain on those tighty whities, sure. Pretending it didn't happen though and "vacating" wins is the most namby pamby useless waste of breath to even utter thing in sports.

Except it's true. It will only be remembered as the year the Astros cheated to win and nothing more.

I look at this whole thing just like the PED era. There are some people in the sport that cheat. It really upsets me when someone in the Red Sox organization is one of them. I remember when everyone thought that Manny Ramirez was a hero until we found out about the drugs. This will be another thing that will be a stain not just on the Astros and Red Sox but baseball in general. Now all the teams are going to have to use multiple signs just like when a runner is on 2B all the time. The problem is that sports have become big business. In order to make more money people cheat.

Actually Bregman was a better hitter away from Minute Maid. He hit 278 at home and 315 on the road this year. And in 2017 in the playoffs he hit 273 at home with signs being stolen at home. Not the greatest, altuve and correa hit way better at home then him
