Strikes on the corners

At some point, do you guys think we are going to see pitches touching the zone get called for strikes? I mean, the whole rectangular outline is a construct.
I’m glad some effort to get timing windows working is happening, but until the strikes on the edges get called, things still favour the hitter way too much, IMO.
Don’t even get me started on the check swings where your opponent is fooled but gets a pass.

Corner calls and check swings are nonsense. I'll look at the controller and the guy will swing. I'll smash X and the guy won't even flinch. If SDS actually looked at replays in slow motion, they will see the ball is touching the black part of the plate. Still get called a ball.

This is the biggest issue in the game right now

I think so. I mean, you could argue that fielding problems are more egregious but to me, pitches that are strikes should be called strikes.

Get rid of the umpire cut scene for check swings please.
For strike zones, SDS needs to look at MLB umpire strike zone maps and adjust accordingly. Pitches an inch or two outside get called strikes with decent regularity

I don’t know how exactly to make it work in game terms, but if the batter is fooled but checks his swing, there needs to be more than just a dice roll.
As it is now, it is incredibly biased toward the hitter.

I wouldn't get caught up in animations and such. The perfect umpires in online play are hitter friendly for a reason. 52% of the ball has got to be in the zone to get the call. Tight zone brings pitches in and unnecessary meatballs set up on a tee.

Its an issue, you're high as a kite if you think it is the biggest though

Pitching in general. Yeah, umps are terrible and check swings are far too unrealistic. I'd be happy if my perfect releases hit their spots and "blue" gave me credit for my skill.

It's a lot easier to hit when you don't need to worry about borderline calls.
