punishing players who refuse to throw strikes?
-
Punish someone for not throwing strikes??? Now I've seen it all...
How about you take a walk?
-
Most of the time the broken pitching will not let you throw a strike, unless it’s down the middle.
-
Lay off and take a walk. It’s up to you to change your approach
-
These are the best people to play against, just layoff and they will get frustrated and start throwing meatballs over the plate
-
If only baseball had a way of rewarding a hitter for not swinging at pitches out of the zone...maybe 5, nay, 4 of them.
Ahhhh well...a guy can dream.

Does anyone else think they should punish players who just consistently throw balls in the dirt or way above the zone the second they get in a bad situation bc I’m tired of getting runners on and not seeing a single pitch in the strike zone again in the at bat
Just when I think I've seen it all on these forums, this guy comes along.

op is complaining his opponents don't throw him fastballs down the middle. Hey, OP why don't you throw meatballs down the middle 99% of the time, then lets us know how the game went.

Tell me about it. I especially hate when I try to steal and my opponent doesn’t even throw to 2nd to try and get me out. ️

Take the walks my dude. Also, they might not be throwing balls on purpose. I am using Gibson to get the 2 Ws for the mission and I struggle mightily throwing srtikes with him.
2 and 7 with him. Man Gibson gives up some moonshots
-
It's already in the game, it's called a walk. If I'm facing you, and you swing at junk, why would I give you anything else????
-
I throw in the zone, but if I see that you cant lay off pitches out of the zone, you aren't going to see a pitch in the zone until you prove you can lay off. A real life pitcher knows where your weakness is and will pitch to your weakness until you make the adjustment, that is baseball.
-
The ones being punished are the hitters because of broken ball physics, I strike out all the time on sliders that are aimed low and out of the zone, because doing so somehow magically makes them not move at all, there is no "slide". They look like a middle middle fastball then bam they are in the dirt. When a slider is thrown in the strike zone, or even inside/outside the zone left and right it moves like it should and I can tell that its a slider, but low, doesnt move at all.

My suggestion would be not to play online when you’re not feeling patient enough to lay off the garbage pitches. Both sides are correct. You need to practice plate discipline but the dirt balls can be hard to recognize and lay-off and people exploit that.

lol OP should change his name to Lil Walky

I find hitting exponentially easier when I have some plate discipline. Make them throw strikes.
To be honest if you are going to swing at balls out of the strike zone, then that is all you should expect to get.
