Why isn't the game as fun this year? Is it just me?

Maybe it's just me but I had way more fun playing last year. Why isn't it as fun this year? Is it cuz MLB isn't playing so there are no updates or boosted players? Are the cards not as good or not as many? Is it the gameplay? What do you guys think?

Well for one, the defense is broken. If that alone was at least solid it would go a long way.

Me personally. I had fun last year grinding through ranked trying to get better. Started of pretty bad but ended up a lil over .500 in over 300 games when I stopped in Oct. This year im doing better than last year but difference is it doesn't feel like it matters to even try to practice or get better when you can literally have games where no matter what you do the game refuses to let your skill matter.

Not having fun because everything is at the mercy of the Simulation and RNG. Can’t pitch, never know when an error is going to be forced (when you did nothing wrong) hitting is like throwing dice, base running is just shady, prestige cards would be fun to work towards but locked behind the unbearable online play.

For me it's because the mlb is not playing. Always seem to be more excited about playing the game when real baseball is being played on the field.

Its because of RNG. Fielding is garbage, while pitching and hitting success is determined by randomness. You have no control as a user so you're basically watching a simulation and pressing buttons

More fun this year no DD and LEAGUES ARE BACK!!!

Contact hitters being effective made last year's game more exciting. Runners on the base paths. Pressure to pitch with a vibrating controller. This year we are playing a game where HR's are the deciding factor for every game.
It's boring as hell.
