Controller Preference?
-
This may sound dumb but are there any preferences on controllers that are good/advantageous in the show? I did not know if there is a specific controller or controller add-on's that would be worth a purchase. My controllers all end up getting worn out or sometimes Gronk-spiked against my hardwood floor

the gronk spike is the reason I haven't evolved to a scuf controller lol

Thankfully I’ve grown out of my habits of being like Puig and launching the controller across the room. A much more calm flipping up in the air and letting it hit my ceiling and land on the bed.

I am the same way, but this case was different. Had my girlfriend chirping in my ear/threatening to turn of the PS4 all game while getting completely shut out when I was two games away from WS tier. Never getting married; my MLB The Show career would be over.

Yah i'll stick to the generic controller for now. I gronk spiked my controller last night (controller is fine) because of the Gallo moment. Got tired of being walked by Darvish or swinging at one of his pitches below the strike zone. Mabey I'll try throwing my controller up in the air next time.

Kontrol freaks help, and also turn off vibration on the controller if you haven’t already.

My gf wouldn’t be too thrilled with me playing games with her over but she’s also knows to keep a distance Incase I gotta throw someone out with the controller lol

Why no vibration?

I personally don’t like clutch situations to have the controller vibrating. It personally messes with me a little, and definitely when pitching (analog). I found it helps to just turn it off

It actually gets easier to ask for "alone-time" when you are married with kids. Both you and your wife will want space, because kids are exhausting.
I'm 40, have 2 kids under 3, and made WS twice this year. The only reason is because my wife I would go our separate ways for a couple hours.
This post is really just a humblebrag to say I'm an old guy that made WS
On topic: No preference on controller, but I do like Kontrol Freaks. Currently playing with galaxy (purple ones).

I'm a NMS player, but I budget $200 a year for new controllers. Does that still count as NMS?

Congrats to you man on being an old guy and making WS. You deserve a humble brag for that. I'm 44 and I don't sniff WS. If I ever made it I'd be buying airtime on TV letting everyone know so your humble brag is completely understandable.
You're also right about kids being exhausting. I've got two older ones but having 2 under 3 at the same time will wear you down like nothing else. Kids are the best, but they certainly can be exhausting at the same time. -
