Nah their packs are a straight scam. You won’t see much of a drop off. Probably slowly rise.
Where do diamonds come from? Packs. You can open a 20 bundle right now and IF you manage to beat their scam odds and pull a diamond, 80% of the diamonds you will still lose stubs. Let that sink in. No supply equals prices rising. I’m guessing to try to push microtransactions like anybody in their right mind would still be spending money on this game especially after being scammed out of the stubs they had lol.
So the answer is buy the cards now or just delete the game and find one you might actually have fun on. This ones on its last legs already.

He should come down after the event. Hover around 140 again. Best to buy around then. Because stubs sales are coming and he’ll rocket up into the 200s if that happens I would bet.

It's because of the stub sale. It usually happens because of that.

Once the diamond rewards in events go from 85-89 to 85-92 or 91, most of them besides Trout should drop quite a bit.

I hope so. I sold Cole and verlander this morning. I couldn’t fathom locking in 250k toward mantle when there is still another 750k or so to go. If they don’t come down, then I would have never gotten to mantle anyway.

No disrespect, but I don’t think that’s it. 15% is nothing...only a minor spike when the sale dropped (gonna be bananas when the 50% off deal drops).
I think it’s that A) there aren’t many good places to spend stubs these days - Biggio, Sheffield and Mantle are the best non-XP cards by a wide margin. Also, this weekend was a huge influx of stubs: Mother’s Day conquest, those Players Packs, guy[censored]ting level 300 in program, etc.
I think that’s what’s causing the dramatic spike this weekend - but the lack of good cards is the reason for the steady increase before now.

Yeah it's rough. I paused finishing the nl to get Trout and ended up paying 40k more for Scherzer and Degrom because of it

All the 85-87 Diamond players I could buy right now to finish my LS Team Collections but I'm waiting for the season to commence. Good chance some of them get down-graded to Gold and can save on stubs. Right now I'll let the packs give me diamond players at no cost to me. I've gotten Trout, Harper, Springer, Altuve, Flaherty, and more so far.

I will not over pay for the last 6 I need, so my stub total will likely be up to a half a million by then

But I’m sure you’re right...guys are clamoring to use Jacob Degrom in the event...for Fred McGriff.

I think part of the spike can be attributed to all the extra reward cards people are selling off. If you didn't want to lock in the player league Snell you can basically make close to 50,000 stubs selling off the players which didn't take long to collect in the first place. People are probably applying that amount to players for the collection.
