I am running into this issue as well. I can confirm that letting the game go into demo mode did let me through but does not fix the issue permanently. I have also found that disconnecting the ethernet cable and reconnecting will get through this issue as well and is a quicker method than waiting for demo mode if your console is easily accessible.
