Honus was a worse SS. 10th all-time in errors committed by a SS. You can't use advanced metrics for him, so go by errors committed. He routinely booted balls. Your weird Yankee and Jeter hate don't make him as bad of a fielder as you want to make him out to be.
Except errors aren't 1:1 because of playing conditions (Balls weren't subbed out every play. Grounds were a nightmare) in Honus's era. All Error totals prove is longevity.
Correct !!!
Also: even I know, that Honus played in the dead ball era. The did not play on the finest fields and there were many more balls hit on the ground (which was most common then) … If you want to compare Jeter, do it to Ripken/Vizquel (have fun doing it). Next thing is: „… but Jeter has the rings“
Guys, DH is a switch in their game … it is in there. They could patch that into 22 and will put it in, if they want. Same implies for the shift (I turned shifting off in DD, so this switch is actually in the game right now).
Regarding the switch: That is being modified and not banned. You can still have your infielders in certain areas that benefits defense. You are not allowed to put Infielders on the outfield grass and the SS/2B have to stay „on their side“ of the infield (but they could be pretty close to straight behind 2B). I am wondering if they program this modified shift in 23 having no data where the real clubs position their guys
Listen, guys … I am from Germany … I follow Baseball since the 1991 World Series, got into SABR-metrics a little bit … My favourite players are Rickey Henderson and … Derek Jeter.
So, imo you can be a fan and still say this about Jeter:
To all the haters : After all, maybe SDS saved a few bucks on Jazz … to finally get Derek
I don‘t get the outrage of you people … I mean, maybe Julio is a good choice, a very good choice … choosing the best player in the last decades (Mike Trout) would be awesome … Lots of players would be deserving.
But … honestly … you could think that Jazz is like a Joe Random negative WAR-player, if you just follow the discussions everywhere. Sure, he is not comparable to those mentioned above. But he had 139 OPS+ and he is marketable. So: Why not … and: It is just a cover of a hopefully awesome game
I have Torre over Foxx in my Lineup… because he is clearly comparable to Jimmie Foxx and I love that, especially in the endgame cycle

New clue-High Voltage.
„High Voltage“ was the first AC/DC-album and an album of the Jazz saxophonist Eddie Harris.
Folks … first of all: I think, the cover athlete does not matter at all.
Maybe it is someone whose licensing is cheap (more money to earn or for devs).
Maybe it is not Julio, because SDS chooses his cover athlete way ahead. I watched a lot of the Shohei-cover-videos. In one of them, they said, that they had the shohei art work in summer …
To me, therefore it is extremly possible that it is not the ROTY but another one …
I think, it is Jazz … he was there 8 months ago (the video got released on May 21. He is kind of a community favorite and flashy enough to do commercials
Aramis … for real? One-dimensional (hitting stats are very good), but imo not a HOFer .
If you want to look away from his awful defense and totally black that out, then you should compare him to Edgar.
Edgar has a career OPS of .933 … Aramis is .100 lower at .833… To me: Case closed. Edgar: HOF, Aramis: Good player, not HOFer
Rolen‘s OPS is .855, but he was a ballplayer with a glove (and a 70 WAR, that is not nothing). To me: Rolen is debatable but deserving HOFer (but no Whitacker still sucks)
Ashley is a specialist for live content (said it in her twitch stream and (I think) on twitter).
Cbrev is community manager. Ramone‘s role is doing communication on features … presenting stuff etc.. That is a total different role. A community manager manages Feedback from the community. Imo, Cbrev is more on inside stuff, trying to improve stuff. I am pretty sure, we will see Ramone in the preview vids
No. I am still excited and I am really looking forward.
BUT: I do not like the endgame cycle of the game very much, because cards are too overpowered and lineup diversity is better in the first half since release.
But, you know … Baseball
I am undecided in this matter. One half of me wants MLBTS to play under the same circumstances as the current league does.
The other likes the strategic element having the pitcher be a sure weak point in the opponent‘s lineup and make him/her think about pulling their starters.
So I have 2 wishes for the problem:
true … also: maybe fewer players get there (or are not there yet)
If „silly“ is your way handling other opinions, we do not have a discussion anymore. Good luck debating with yourself. btw: there are and were lots of stat based goals.
Apart from the xtreme program I do not think that the programs were either too hard or too much of a grind.
Cards from programs imo require „some work“, otherwise they could just give em away
The amount of those cards available was high, because lots of them were earned as rewards. Now there is lots of stubs available if you grind and sell cards to get e.g. Halladay/Randy … which drives their prices up (demand probably stayed the same but supply dropped)
MVP: George Brett
Cy Young: Kershaw
Reliever: 90 Chapman (in my bullpen since day 1)
@worm91_NSW said in Finest Cory Kluber question:
Is Finest Kluber from the BR program supposed to be an endgame pitcher? I picked him since I had already picked Trout and Johnson on previous playthroughs. But when I was going to add him to my team, based on the numbers comparison I already have five starters that are arguably better than him. Is he more effective than his numbers would indicate?
I used him as a test in a couple of mini seasons games, and he did fine, but I am not sure if he is a better replacement than what I have.
I guess, there is no right answer. It depends, if you like the stuff, motion, speed, etc. that those pitchers have.
I compare Kluber to Halladay (who is the only one I used quite some time this year). My results using him where good, but not very good. I had better results using Randy, Glavine, Ryan, DeGrom, JV and especially Kershaw. Halladay would probably make my 10-man-rotation (if I had one ), but he is clearly not in my Top5.
Hope, that helped … just my oppinion
Defense should matter way more. I had about 20 passED balls this year and imo it is completely random, if your catcher has good stats

I had a BR game freeze against one of the top BR players with 40x flawless. Was a shootout and had a chance to win. So disappointed. I ended up quitting because my win streak wasn’t that high
I didn't even know a 40x flawless banner existed.
There are not many, a few youtubers, eg. zanderverse (best win-pct in BR, you can look that up in the game)
