Like every year, I am doing theme teams playing 3 games a piece with every team … starting with the worst. I just finished the Nationals, so I am 7 teams (21 games) in … I only had 1 theme team (Angels vs my Athletics) going against me. ALL the other teams were those boring switch-hitter/god squad teams … Also: Close to nobody is using captain cards

So, during the course of this game cycle I asked multiple times and got the answer, that sets&seasons limits people from using theme teams … As of right now, I am not experiencing this „wish from the community“.

Are you doing theme teams? How is it going for you ? …

I had the most fun using the A‘s … going 3-0 and pitching my tail of (with those crazy arms … they do not have many :)). Next one is the Blue Jays … I really love it

MLB-stadium in rain connot play worse than those a$$-stadiums like shield woods or capital lange (remember: take every opportunity to bash those crappy stadiums ) …

@Ericulous1_PSN First: The conquest-map is stoked with big packs … Second: If they release some banger S2-cards now (we already had a big Core) that would be waste … keep the bullets for the next season … I think, overall … nice little content drop. The big one is coming in 6 days

For me there are a few takes on this:

1. I do not like goofy stuff … I wanna play Mariano Rivera in the late innings … where he belongs. BUT …
2. I like when they spice it up and there couldn’t be a better way than doing this with 95s at the beginning of S3. That is because there will be better cards very quickly and you won’t see those kind of stuff very soon
3. They have not enough legends (which is bad to begin with) so bringing in e.g. the third Nolan would be more 23. Since 23 was the lowpoint for me, I like this …
4. Guys, embrace new ideas … We will not have new legends this time around (there is hope for 25)

About 1/3 of these have a good enough reason to exist, pretty much all the the ones that were drafted at these positions as well as the pitcher DHs. Rivera in CF is an easter egg for Yankee fans, fine.

The high school ones are a stretch, as are things like mays at 3B (A met card at 1B would make better sense)
But it wasnt 'lazy' like some are saying and Im sure there are people that will enjoy it. Im someone that likes incognito after all and am still waiting on Polar Bear, Flying Squirrel, and the true "The Kid"

Awesome take … I wish more people would a) let it sink in first and b) react after that. The OOP-concept is actually pretty well thought, because it is mostly not random. I like the reading fun little stories / background when starting the moments

Apart from the xtreme program I do not think that the programs were either too hard or too much of a grind.
Cards from programs imo require „some work“, otherwise they could just give em away

Listen, guys … I am from Germany … I follow Baseball since the 1991 World Series, got into SABR-metrics a little bit … My favourite players are Rickey Henderson and … Derek Jeter.

So, imo you can be a fan and still say this about Jeter:

• He probably never deserved any of his gold gloves (he played in the same league as Vizquel and A-Rod, who where clearly inferior) but got them being a Yankee (hey, even Palmeiro once got one playing a few dozens of mediocre defense there)
• He was a very very good Shortstop, if you combine everything he brought to the table, especially his baserunning (many times over 30 SBs is just one component, he ran the bases extremely well) and Career OPS of .817
• He is an awesome legend of the game (even if you do not like the Yankees, which a lot of you people seem to do. But that does not make him worse)
• He won 5 rings and was part of maybe the best dynasty baseball had in the last 30 years
• He had an 71.3 career WAR (Baseball-reference). The top 3 ever are Honus, Ripken and A-Rod, starting at 95 WAR. That sums his status as a shortstop up pretty well
• But still: He was awesome and it is effing awesome to have him in the game

I am at 65 points, I really like those moments. Some a harder than I initially thought (hardest for me was the 2HRs with Willie McCovey). I also like the DD-moments. Percival was not that hard when I put an all-lefty-lineup against him … Right now: Big W, very good program.

That is exactly what I just thought … and the more important question is: Who the f unblocked this guy so I have to read it again … Anyways: Just fixed it, makes this forum much more enjoyable not having to read this constant bs from this guy

You cannot fix dashboarding in any software, you can only make the software count stats earlier

People do not rage because of a game … And dashboarding on purpose (especially to delete someone’s HR) is not something to be proud of

Update: I just got it done … How fitting, that the GOAT was my last card …

Just went 4-0 with the Mets … and the biggest thing (and takeaway) for me is: I just got my rank to an all-season-high … Biggest Takeaway: The best cards will not help if you cannot play … I played a ton against big god squads and gave them silver/gold pitchers (ok, bumped ones). I will definitely go „no flip“ in 2025, this is really fun and I can only encourage people to do Theme teams
