Well for the likes of those who can get all the great cards from the jump I guess a lot of people would be whiners in your eyes..This yrs game is really no different than last yrs..Sure some things are better but a lot of things overlooked or never fixed...I'm also tired of Mike Trout being the hardest card to obtain from a pack and always being the most expensive to obtain...It's all about the DD money card slot machines than anything else..Don't flatter yourself for sticking up with the only mode of baseball just like the Madden franchise no competition so they don't have to fix anything or give good rewards for your time and effort..We can't all be good at the game or afford to keep up with the money ball effect and youtubers..

I've been playing MLB the show for several years now. I've never made World Series and don't think I will again this year. My average has fallen to just above the mendoza line. I love the content, and love playing all the different modes. I watch all the top guys' videos on YouTube and try their techniques, but I still just SUCK!! lol

I did manage to beat March to October and win the world series which was cool.

Anyways, for those of you that suck like me what are your favorite game modes to play? Or, do you just keep plugging away online and hope to get better?

I play them all I suck to and will never reach WS or go 12-0 in BR but it's the chance of getting lucky and maybe 1 day doing it..At my age reflexes slowed eyesight diminished but as long as your having fun..To me it's a marathon not a race and I didn't have to buy my way to the top to brag I'm the best because even with all 99 cards I would still suck lol!!

Gonna hammer a topic on cheating but your not gonna hammer yourself for being unethical for cheesing a 2 1/2 minute pause whatever your reasons or intentions were..That's about as bush league as the cheater just play the game it's not life or death and don't be shrewd doing those pausing and R2 [censored] and the bunt dance..Sure we all want to win but losing is gonna happen just do it with grace and dignity..

I try to pick a team that needs help at the position I'm making I grab 3 and pick a team blindly and go to that team..It's still random and those teams are usually not the best ones but to each his own as long as your having fun

It's simple they don't want to give you stubs back for the extra cards that u may use to buy other cards u need or want so you would have to grind the game for..In a nutshell they want you buying stubs..This Corona Virus thing didn't help and now their scrambling because of no roster updates or inside edge they have to have a plan b as far as rewards and cards due to no statistics from MLB as of now..But the #1 issue on the buy backs and quicksell is the money plain and simple

That's really a personal preference.I'd rather be the diamond in the rough and prove the doubters wrong.I do get that we play better than most of the players chosen way ahead of us but our stats say we suck so it's a no win situation..I like the idea of being #1 pick or a top 50 prospect pick but they really have dropped the ball on the draft in RTTS the last few yrs and never changed it..DD is their baby so I don't think they really care..

I don't even play the showcase games..They're a wast of time..I just enter the game sim/quit out and go straight to the draft..You get no attributes towards your player nor rewarded with a high draft stock...At least in NBA2K it matters about how well you do to improve your draft stock..

Yes the RTTS mode should be all about what the player wants not the CPU..Franchise should be anything goes because it's based to be more like real life..I love my Braves and I'm still with them but as we know u can be traded at anytime for other players worse than you..Now that really makes a lot of sense right?!!

Sorry to hear this..I have very little to no problems as of now Hope the issues get fixed soon for you..Maybe it's a technical issue on your end where you live?your internet service provider or you have a weak internet connection..I have only had 2 network error issues in the last week..Good Luck..

I like how with 2 outs man on 1st with 40 speed 6 steal and they throw over at least 3-4 times what happened to unwritten rules LOL!!!

agree with you all. This game was based off the RTTS mode it appealed to a lot of players,but as the yrs moved on and they made money off the cards it became just like madden with the MUT cards and NBA2K My Park it's geared to make money..I get the business side of it but if ur making money hand over fist why not take care of all aspects of the game and please all your consumers instead of just relying on the 1.Makes no sense to me but the truth is that there is no competition of other game makers with the same game to push these people to do better. Madden and NBA2K also.

Why shouldn’t the best player in baseball be the most expensive? Makes perfect sense to me.

Trout is a great player don't get me wrong I agree but he's also the one u see the least in packs..I have never gotten him and I have opened plenty of packs over the yrs of this game..He's still well into the 160,000 range on MLB19 I just can't justify paying 150 - 200$ in stubs for 1 player it's crazy I'm never making world series or 12-0 battle royal but I would like to play with some of the greats and have fun at least that's not to much to ask is it?!!

I just wait until after the 1st pitch even if a strike then take my chances but I have been pitched out on the very next pitch and gunned down with that skip hop and tag throw that the CPU just so magically gets all the time..It is annoying but what can you do right?!!

Seems to me the archetypes was taken from a bit of NBA2K and Madden it's just a part of the game slowing taking the hit for the DD and yet RTTS was the reason this game was made at 1st and it was fun..Now it's about how much money SDS can make and unfortunately RTTS suffers just like NBA2K career mode and Madden single player mode..It's the money period..JMO!!

I was trying to do the Evolution with Pudge the stats for his silver part are pretty good contact and power wise but I can't seem to hit the HR I need I've hit the wall a lot been robbed twice by the fielder..and a good contact and perfect timing have just been base hits so frustrating right now and it doesn't help I'm not a good player..Don't even get me started on the Granderson moments it just seems veteran lvl feels like I'm being pitched like it was All Star or HOF level 8 balls out of the strike zone in 2 at bats..I gave up on trying them

For that particular moment, I had to switch to direction and power swing. While using zone, of the ones that had a chance, a couple were robbed at the wall. And one hit the wall. Finally got it done by doing directional/power.
In some of these moments, going to directional is almost a must.

Ok thanks for the tip I'll give it a try I've been at it 2 days and trying to be patient at the plate but it just hasn't worked out for me...I'll give it a go with your advice..I'll let you know if I succeed.. Thanks again!
