The changes are not only affecting me but my opponents as well. I must admit. After a second day of playing yesterday, guys are starting to establish new muscle memory from learning the new controls. We will see what happens after the full release to the public tomorrow.

The button configurations that we have used by muscle memory for years have been changed. We are being forced to learn new buttons to access our Bullpen, Substitutions, Mound Visits and various other necessary gameplay mechanics.

The online Timer has also been reduced significantly. These two changes combined are resulting in far too many Forfeit games. SDS please either change our longtime Button configurations back that we have used to access our important Gameplay menus or Lengthen the Timer back to the previous value. It would be ideal to change both back. The fact that we no longer have to Warm up our pitchers wasn't a significant enough to change to warrant a drastic Online Timer reduction.

All we have to do is Spam Sliders to get people out now since they can't Check Swing.

Yes, it's absolutely pathetic.

We go from too many Check Swings in MLB The Show 20, to Cheese Pitching in MLB The Show 21. There needs to be a medium somewhere in between to balance the game. This is not Baseball, it's Cheese. Online that is.

You're probably looking in the wrong place like I was at first. Click on the icon in the Top Left hand corner on the first screen when the game loads up. You'll find it inside of there.

Maintenance on a Saturday? Ruin our weekends? Smh this isn't acceptable.

Need a patch SDS. Medium between this year and last year for Online.

You definitely want to be rewarded for good Check Swing input.

SDS please remove Directional Hitting from Competitive Online play please. It doesn't require Competitive skill to simply time your swings.

The Legend has spoken! What's up i play Online Rated too! i got into an argument online with a guy that said DD players are better than Online Rated guys. I disagreed. I told him some of us just rather play with Regs rather than Fantasy teams, and we also would rather just play than battle through stubs or pay for players. He said Pitching Rebel would dominate you. I told him in an Online Rated game you would smash him. What do you think? Lol

They tuned back the Check Swings now as a result guys are Cheese pitching because they know you can't Check Swing as well as before. It's Bad Baseball as it is right now. There needs to be a medium between last year's Check Swings and this years. I'm striking out over 16 batters per game now online because if this change. In the last 6 years my highest Strikeouts average per game was 10. A patch is necessary.

As a result of the Check Swings being tuned down there are tremendously high Strikeout numbers. Taking the Discipline rating away so that Users have trouble Check Swinging was a bad move for real baseball. Guys are Cheese pitching now and use the toned down Check Swings as an exploit. Baseball has been thrown out of the window online. I'm Striking out double the players I've ever striked out per game. 16 per game, the highest I've ever averaged was 8-10 over the last 6 years.

Competitive is cutthroat

The Online Rated (Regs) Leaderboard is missing from the game. I have played this mode since the beginning of MLB The Show and the primary reason why I play. I don't like DD. Where is it SDS?

Haven’t noticed it. I can still check. Look at the players discipline, maybe that’s why they go to far

No more discipline. Its about timing now-bat crosses the plate its a swing,doesnt its not, and on the plate is 50/50(just like real life)
Ive had (in 4 cq games) 4 attempted checks 1 no 3 swing( all accurate) and 1 appeal on a cpu check, expecting no called yes also accurate.
Its a pain with learning the timing of it
but i think i like the new system

By appeal you're speaking of Offline, I'm speaking Online Competitive game. They made the Check Swings on two strikes swing through the ball at too high a rate. There needs to be a balance between last year and this year.
