I'm doing it no matter who it is. I'm an obsessive collector in this game.

I don't even care who it is. I just like having an excuse to collect stuff.

Most of my biggest weaknesses have nothing to do timing, so it would do me very little good to bother with a monitor. Even if it did help, playing on a smaller screen just isn't as much fun.

The content is designed so that even the worst players can field a pretty amazing team if they're willing to work at it, so I could care less about ever being "elite." In my experience the most negative and toxic people who post on here typically have way better records than me, so if playing on my TV means I'll never get good enough to be matched up with any of them then I'm totally content with continuing to suck.

Someone on this board made a complaint post, got called out on inaccuracies and actually admitted that they were wrong? It's a Christmas miracle and it isn't even Christmas yet! Faith in humanity restored! lol

Wow, that's crazy. It's almost like the hardest difficulty level in the game is supposed to be hard.

I prefer the slow buildup. If I had things my way,, it wouldn't even be possible to get a non-live series diamond until at least a month into the game cycle.

I've seen quite a few posts lately from people who've hit 650k in the program. Pretty impressive for a game that's allegedly so unplayable that we all must demand compensation.

I enjoy the grind of gradually building my team almost more than actually playing the game, so I'm probably in the minority but I actually wish the buildup to good cards was even slower than it is. In my perfect world, non-live series diamonds wouldn't be a thing until at least a month into the game cycle.

"The game always rewards weaker players!" - said the player with more wins in the last week than most weaker players will get all year.

"Contact isn't rewarded frequently enough!" - said the player who's batting well over .300

"Highly rated prospect cards aren't realistic!" - said the player who just got done complaining about how the latest 99 legend or flashback with wildly unrealistic attributes isn't even good enough to make their bench.

"The last update made my hitting worse!" - said the player after an update where no gameplay changes were made.

Not everyone plays this game every day like it's a fulltime job. I've hit 650k every inning so far but I usually don't get there until the last few days, and last inning I most likely wouldn't have made it without double XP in the final week.

If you're finishing early, you're in the minority. In fact, they probably started doing these bonus weeks because they looked at the numbers and noticed that most people were coming up short.

Ive just done all the teams in the al east. I'm not that good at this game so I'm dreading the hof games. Those are gonna be a huge pain for me.

Almost all of the collections completed, and I haven't had this problem once. It's amazing what can happen when you take five seconds to pay attention to what you're doing.

I'd bet any amount of money that somewhere in some forgotten corner of the internet, there's a message board from back in 2006 that's filled with rants like "MVP 05 is trash! 04 was so much better! Fix your game!"

Memory has a way of playing tricks on us and causing us to remember things as better than they really were. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

I'll never understand what goes on in the mind of someone who plays a video game they hate, and their first thought is "Strangers on the Internet must know how much I hate this!" If it's that bad, just quit playing and move on with your life.

The community: Waah! Exploiters are ruining the game! Something must be done!
