My man, it’s November. Shouldn’t be hard to have an all 99 team.

So in a previous thread we determined (through a pre-launch stream and the strategy handbook) that vision indeed affects the timing window.
My question, then, is how does it do that? Does it simply extend the edges of the “very” late or early window in which you can create a foul tip? (Much like the “vision PCI” extends the regular PCI’s foul tip radius).
Or does it extend the “good” and “perfect” timing windows as well? This is an important distinction, because if vision only improves your foul tip ability, it’s close to a worthless stat, IMO at least. But if it widens the window in which you can produce a well-hit ball, it becomes exponentially more useful to have high vision.
Interested to hear any insight on this.
On a related note it would be great if SDS actually explained stuff like this to us in depth, rather than a quick line in a stream or sentence in a tutorial, leaving us to guess as we all are now.

Hey all! I put together a detailed survey to gather our collective thoughts on this years DD. I’m sure SDS will put out a survey like this eventually, but I thought I’d get a head start with this.
It’s fairly robust and might take you up to 20 minutes (although you can skip questions). Please be as detailed as you’d like on the optional short answer questions.
The results might be discussed on a future episode of The GoodOkay Podcast, but not sure. I’m just curious to see what the community as a whole thinks. If you have a question that I should add, reply here.
P.S. If anyone is on r/mlbtheshow and wants to pop this on there it’d be greatly appreciated. I’m not a member there.

Hey everyone, happy Trout day! @Ikasnu was back with me on The GoodOkay Podcast to discuss this exciting new collection, merely minutes after it was dropped.
Listen to hear how it works, our tips, and how far we are. Included in the second half are 6th inning and Headliner overviews, as well as some MLB Opening Weekend and roster update discussion.
Enjoy and have a great day!

On this weeks episode of The GoodOkay Podcast, I was joined by Corey from the-show-zone.com to discuss his extremely intuitive MLB The Show companion website. If you are not familiar with the site, be sure to check it out while listening because there are so many cool features already and he is planning even more cool stuff in the near future.
If you just want the interview, skip to around 29 minutes. Before then, Dylan returns to the pod to talk roster updates and real MLB for a bit. After the interview it’s just me talking some new cards. Enjoy!

Hey everybody, happy Thursday. I was glad to hear a lot of you enjoyed episode 1 last week, so we’re back with another one dropping this morning!
This week we shared our Ranked Seasons successes, dove into the mid-season review of content, and previewed tomorrow’s 4th Inning content. Hope you all enjoy!
PS: I believe we can be searched for on Spotify now, not sure about Apple Podcast yet. I will paste the link below just in case.

Back again with another episode of The GoodOkay Podcast and I think you guys will really enjoy this one. With all the discussion and speculation on here about the “Honus-type” collection dropping on the 28th, @Ikasnu and I recorded upwards of 40 minutes of discussion on that particular topic.
We debated who it might be and what the program might look like. Will it be like last year, or look nothing like last year at all? Will there be multiple rewards and multiple stages? Which series and how many of them will you need? If you aren’t looking to complete the collection, how can you take advantage and make a bunch of stubs? All of this and more on Episode 9 of The GoodOkay Podcast! Enjoy and have a great OPENING DAY!!!!!!

I sure might have... listen to Episode 12 of The GoodOkay Podcast to find out!
We began by discussing Dylan’s return to DD and what he’s up to.
Also included are some HOT investment tips including some knowledge from us Reds fans on a few players that you can still buy cheap and might get a bump up a tier in Friday’s roster update. There’s one more big investment tip: all I will say is “Topps Now”. Listen to find out!

Long post here. Trying to list every Sig Series, Prime or Award Winners card that we still need to see in DD ‘20. Not including TA stage 3 guys like Gwynn since they already got a high diamond. I suppose they still could get one of these series but I doubt it. I was pretty generous with some of the flashbacks we could see in the last category, but keep in mind that some of them might be 90-95 diamonds in line with what guys like Cueto, Murphy and Buehrle got. Let me know who I forgot and I’ll edit them in!

I believe TA4 will be Finest for each team. With them starting the reveals tomorrow, I figured I’d share my predictions.
The process: I used 2.0 fWAR as the rough cutoff to receive a 99 overall (with catchers and relievers graded on a slight curve). I tried to avoid giving repeat high diamonds where I could, but it was unavoidable in some situations (I.e. Twins with Maeda/Cruz and Cardinals with Goldy). As long as the player does not already have a 99 in-game, he was eligible for a 99 Finest (eliminated Tatis, JRam). Players with high diamonds already but were their team’s clear and only 99 choice got their 99 (Lowe, Bieber, Perez, Yastrzemski).

Bonus episode of The GoodOkay Podcast is out if you haven’t seen already. Dylan and I share our top investment pics with the MLB season set to start this week.
It was fun talking about these exciting players, so we hope you enjoy listening. Even if you aren’t planning to invest, give it a listen to hear about some of the up-and-coming players you might not know about, or trades/signings that you forgot had happened.
If you do invest, start building up inventory ASAP. Prices are still fairly low now, but if you wait until the season starts you will limit your potential earnings.
Next week we will back back on Thursday or Friday to preview 6th inning and the big collection, as well as giving our official predictions for the 2020 season. Have a great Sunday and beginning of your week!

I was in the same place as recently as early last year and I’d now consider myself a very good player (probably top 200 maybe? Idk). Here’s what helped me make the jump:
Spend a few games just tracking the pitch until two strikes. By this I mean start the PCI at the release point, and try to “catch” the pitch. Don’t swing until two strikes. With two strikes go crazy - but with the same technique, only swinging now.
Many top players don’t start their PCI at the release point, but that is because they have crazy reaction. Not everyone does. Eventually you’ll be able to read pitches well and you’ll be able to move your PCI to where the pitch will end up instead of tracking it.
Now I will warn you your timing might suffer with this technique. So when you get used to getting the PCI in a good place yet maybe you’re late on the pitch TURN THE PCI OFF. This allows you to use the muscle memory you’ve built up but also not be distracted by the PCI.
Those are just my two cents. It’s what helped me become a consistent WS player (I think my RS record is around 190-60). I still use these tips when struggling - if my PCI placement is off I’ll track pitches for a while with <2 strikes. If my timing is off, I turn the PCI off and it helps me get back to where I want to be.

Hey all. I was curious about how BB/9 and individual pitch Control affect the new Pinpoint Pitching mechanic as well as the PAR (Perfect Accuracy Region). Since I directly asked SDS about what the attributes do and got no clear answer, I took matters into my own hands.
TL;DR: BB/9 affects PAR size. I do not know what individual pitch Control does.
I created 3 players and added them to a custom roster. Player A had 99 BB/9 and 99 control for each pitch. Player B had 99 BB/9 and 0 control for each pitch. Player C had 0 BB/9 and 99 control for each pitch. After entering Custom Practice, I compared PAR sizes between the three players. Players A and B had the same sized PARs, while Player C had much larger PARs. This lead me to deduce that increasing BB/9 will decrease PAR size for all pitches.
So what does individual pitch Control do? I don’t know. SDS’s answer to my question implies that it affects PAR size, but I found no visible evidence of that. I performed the Pinpoint mechanic for both Player A and B to see if perfect input was easier to get, or if non-perfect pitches end up closer to the target for Player A. These are subjective measures, but I didn’t notice a difference between the two that I would expect to notice with a difference of 99 Control attribute points.
So now I ask @Collin_SDS_PSN , can you clarify this for us? How exactly does pitch Control affect Pinpoint Pitching and the PAR? Did whoever answered my question here pre-launch lie? They said pitch Control would affect PAR size, but I am finding that it doesn’t. I- and I’m sure everyone here - feel that we deserve to know how attributes affect gameplay when picking which cards to use. The ball is in your court.
Also of note: PAR size changes based on what number pitch it is. Example: Player D and E are identical, except that Player D has a changeup as the number 5 pitch and Player E has a changeup as his number 1 or primary pitch. Player E’s changeup PAR was significantly smaller than Player D’s - even though both had 99 changeup Control. This doesn’t quite make sense to me. If Ricky Vaughn had a fastball primary pitch with 0 control and Greg Maddux had a fastball number 5 pitch with 99 control, Vaughn’s fastball would have a smaller PAR (making the erroneous assumption that both have the same BB/9). I don’t know about anyone else, but that doesn’t seem right to me.
P.S. if you made it this far, check out the latest episode of The Good/Okay Pocast

With the would-be All-Star Game date coming up next week, we at The GoodOkay Podcast thought it might be cool to discuss some of Diamond Dynasty’s 2020 “All-Stars”.
The thought would be to pick guys that perform well for you, regardless of their rating. For example, if you have Mantle but struggle with him for whatever reason and raked with the 94 FS Brandon Marsh earlier in the season, nominate Marsh in CF, not Mantle! Or if you always pick silver live series Kyle Schwarber in BR and crush balls with him, nominate him.
Send whatever you like, but I was thinking 10 guys: a batter at each position, a starter and a reliever. I won’t post mine yet (you’ll have to tune in to the podcast to hear it!), but I’m excited to hear all of your “All-Stars”!
