In my experience the wheel is not worth the trouble, save programs for the XP in the next inning program. getting 5 packs or 2500 stubs isn't worth it. only 4 diamonds to land on with the wheel

My issue with Moments is a bit different than the usual complaints. Making the vast majority of these objectives "hit a home run" sends the wrong message about what actually wins baseball games.

The primary goal at the plate should be making solid contact. The current Home Run-only format feels like another instance of SDS forcing a "three true outcomes" sabermetrics approach down our throats.

Here is my suggestion to mix up the objectives so they reflect a more complete game of baseball. A balanced set of Moments could look like this:

3 Home Run moments: Keep the long ball for the power hitters.

3 On-Base moments: Reward putting the ball in play, making solid contact, and situational hitting.

4 Pitching and Baserunning moments: Add variety with stolen base challenges or pitching sequences.

I know my personal playing experience doesn't dictate game design, but anytime I actually tried to hit a home run in real life, I either popped up or committed the ultimate baseball sin: striking out. Striking out is the only truly wasted out in the sport. The game should reward smart hitting and small ball just as much as the home run trot.

I almost never touch online modes. The few times I jumped into an Event—just trying to grind out a Castellanos card—it felt like the other guy was straight-up cheating. Honestly, I didn't even get mad; I just felt sorry that someone takes it so seriously they feel the need to cheat. I’m perfectly content staying in my offline bubble, running through Conquest maps and Mini Seasons on repeat. Having played actual competitive baseball for years, I already know how much of a struggle the real game is. I have no desire to recreate that stress with a controller in my hand. I’m happy chilling on Veteran or All-Star, and the whole mentality of playing just to beat up on weaker opponents just seems sad to me.

This is exactly why the game needs to be released for PC. Once that happen the mods will allow all of these things. Custom Music and graphics, uniform expansion and more features than you could believe, all for the cost of nothing.

Don't disrespect the Brewers; they won because, in this moment, when they played, they played better. They also put the ball in play and executed in all three phases. The 'better' team isn't always the one with the bigger stars. It is who is better when you play the games, and for this moment in time, the Brewers were the better team.

SDS showed us months ago that they don't care about the people who play the game. Here is my list for other salty players like myself.

1. SDS limits the way anyone can interact with their representatives; they killed the weekly The Show Live because they didn't like the fact that people were raising concerns over gameplay and the logic behind what cards were released.

2. Game modes were changed due to comments from the streamers that SDS has courted. For those of us who play the game and don't stream it for whatever reason, our voices have been silenced by lack of avenues to voice our concerns. (miniseasons was gutted and turned into the same exact miniseason repackaged over and over again)

3. Franchise was turned from a fun mode to a monotonous slug because of 'trade logic' and the absolute joke that t6he offseason n ow brings. The decision to get rid of year to year franchise importing is absolutely ridiculous. I play 12 seasons in mlb the show 19 and 20 and in the years since I had to reinvent the wheel 6 times just to have my team in the new game.

4. getting rid of the stadium vault is ridiculous when all of the props are the same. Once again reinventing the wheel once a year is ridiculous. If La Grasa is the problem ban or suspend anyplayer who uploads it, or just make it impossible to play in any mode with it.

5. Show equal love for online and offline players and also realize this game is not just played by Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Baseball didn't start in 2010; show love for the game's history. It's sad that the game's history gets less attention, when that history is what makes the game wonderful.

6. The utter affinity given to home run hitters over contact hitters. Turning Paul Molitor, Rod Carew, Wade Boggs, and Ozzie Smith into power hitters for the sake of online modes and power-swinging players is a joke.

7. Sabermetrics sucks and makes the game boring; hire developers that can help players who like to play small ball.

I used to do this, but I think this year's changes have ruined miniseasons. I like the choice of 3- or 9-inning games, but the shorter season is a joke. I think this was done because WBC mode had 7 games. WBC should be its own mode. The issue is that in miniseasons, when you are playing six stacked teams, you need to play perfectly just to have a chance to win. Last year, there were 3 miniseasons where you could accumulate XP and packs; this year, it's the classic miniseason repackaged over and over. Listening to streamers and online-only players has created a game mode that ignores the offline player base that actually plays it. Once again, that's my opinion.

It feels like we're constantly seeing the exact same franchises get favored year after year. If the developers are going to release a Dennis Eckersley card, how about a World Series Joe Oliver or Kirk Gibson to balance it out?

What the game really needs is a "World Series Unsung Heroes" program. Stop giving us the same superstars and shine a light on the guys who unexpectedly caught fire in October. Give us a 1990 Billy Hatcher, a 2011 David Freese, Pat Borders, Gene Tenace, or Scott Spiezio. There is so much great baseball history out there being ignored just to cater to a few big-market teams.

26 is a major step back from 25. I buy it early every year and this year has been a serious step backwards. If you want to play the WBC, or you are a Yankee, Red Sox, Padres, Cubs or Dodger fan, then buy it.

Please bring back the Run it Back miniseason, keep it at 28 games only, with similiar rewards to last year. It came out in Early September and was a great way for offline players to earn many many rewards without playing 7 teams with 99 Hitters in all nine slots. You even had a short stop playing catcher to allow the user to get many stolen bases and earn more rewards. And the pitchers were all silver or lower allowing the users to earn rewards.

@Dolenz_PSN I don't think that's 100% accurate I know they claim that, I have moved content for the show 21 onto the internal storage with sounds of the show ps4 Version, running on a PS5. In the franchise forums people are saying it's due to xbox issues, which also sounds suspect. Moving data from one drive to another is pretty basic data operations. I think it's because they don't want to include support for legacy USB devices. regarless you're right, SDS has no interest in making it work. If they came out and said you need an external drive, I think the people who care about it would adhere to whatever specification would be required.

Just bring back sounds of the show and let users add thier own music... and other sounds too

I really think they should go old school next year and embrace one NL and one AL Franchise, maybe a dual cover with like Brooks Robinson/Pete Alonso and Hank Aaron/Acuna

It's not a personal crusade only a fact. Just as you disrespected the Reds hall of fame is a fact. I guarantee people know as much about Harry Craft as they do Rick Ferrell. I had the opportunity when I was younger to have a conversation with Buck O'Niell as he was related to a former team mate. I assure you I've had more conversations about some of the greats, with some of the greats, so if you want to argue about what your perception of a decent ball player is I could care less. You probably also like the DH and Sabermetrics.
