@Saberq269 said in They made Showdown Stage 3 brutal to make you buy the stubs for Stage 3 Players:
I just failed my 5th and final Stage 3 Showdown
I returned to the game after a month of absence to see the new Affinity content
Well Stage 3 Showdown makes Stage 1 look like Stage 2
It's beyond brutal
Mini moments are are roll of the dice and mini bosses are insane
This was done on purpose
By making Stage 3 cards sellable that made sure very small number of players can beat the Stage 3 Showdown thus giving incentive to buy stubs to get the players
Exit velos have been nerfed into oblivion with under 100mph exit velos on perfect hits being the norm
Worst part I can't enjoy my favorite mode because it's brutal right now
And there is no way it's on regural Veteran
I just scored 14 runs on Legend in my Franchise don't tell me I can't score 2 runs on Veteran
They just have to do shady stuff
Shame I thought I might come back to the game for Stage 3 but no way I will now.
If you cannot do it that is a you problem. With the number of Diamonds and Golds they give you in stage 3 as opposed to every other showdown there is no excuse, not to complete it. In every other showdown you get like 1 Diamond 1 gold and are left to hope you get the good silvers and bronzes so that you can complete the moments to replace them. Everything is on veteran. Yes, it is hard if you treat it like rookie or online and swing at everything because you assume it is a strike. I played veteran franchise until a year ago and that is exactly what showdown feels like. You just need to be patient and get good pitches to hit. Let them walk you, fill your bench with 2 power bats and 3 speed guys who can hit decently to pinch run so a single up the middle scores a run from second or a double scores a run from 1st, or so that you guarantee you are safe when you tag up(I had this happen to me before, I had a guy with 50 speed tag from 3rd when it was 15-15 and he got thrown out at the plate but if I had replaced him with a pinch runner I would have scored.. I used to never finish showdown but that was on me for swinging at bad pitches.
