As infuriating as this game can be, it’s still head and shoulders above EA sports games like Madden for me. I love that there’s a legitimate debate between using a card like 97 Bryant vs using 99 Schmidt. If this were Madden, Bryant would be 25k and Schmidt would be 100k+ just because of a numerical advantage, and this would lead to ZERO team variety. I appreciate that there’s errors that only Reggie Jackson can seem to make, rather than the awful blocking that every offensive lineman in Madden seems to display. Tracking down a gapper with a 5 tool outfielder you’ve grinded for feels so much more rewarding than intercepting a ball just because your DB has a pulse. Even though baseball is such a number driven game, I’m glad the show isn’t high attribute numbers or bust.

You sure he didn’t have the 9 consecutive intentional walks daily?

Well the most recent winner of a “major” had a punter at QB for handoffs. You don’t even need to pass the ball to be crowned the “Madden Champion” and the meta defense is sending the house and sacking them before they can read their progressions. We may complain about RNG, but Madden is absolute garbage.

It genuinely feels like the timing window between very early and very late is 1-2 frames depending on if it’s all star or HOF+

I’d like to keep this game about as far from Madden as possible

I just pulled Trout and Bellinger within the span of 4 BIAH packs. First Trout of the year and I couldn’t even get Springered this time!

This sounds absolutely miserable, you didn’t get awarded for most of your solid contact anyways and now it’s just gonna be harder to get in the first place.

I’m sitting at 1.5m and I need Trout, DeGrom, Arenado, Verlander, and Bellinger. I know Mantle is the best card in the game but I’m having a hard time rationalizing almost 800k for those 5 cards.

Well if 300 out of 350 balls were put up the middle or to pull side it would make perfect sense to shift him. The shift puts someone directly up the middle and covers the 4 hole.

The problem is that there’s threads like this and then there’s threads about the fog in night games. People have preferences and believe it or not, most people aren’t doing it to be a nuisance.

If they still gave us cards like Niekro and Tiant (who absolutely deserve to be in a baseball game) nobody would be complaining about sinkers.

Yeah I can’t imagine doing a collection like that for a SS with silver defense.
