Pitching up and in has definitely helped a bit. Thanks!

This doesn't happen every online game, but any tips on how to counter against players that just try base stealing on every single pitch with baserunners that have high-90s speed?
Honestly I get tired of trying to throwing over to 1st all of the time and they will beat out the catchers throw when I do eventually decide to pitch to the batter. I am hoping that I am just missing a basic concept.

People definitely abuse bunting in this game. It works which is why they do it but it still sucks. See an extreme shift, bunt. Mondesi vs bunt defense, doesn't matter. Just drop it down for a free base.
I get destroyed by this when playing online. Any good tips for pitching against the bunt?
Look towards the bottom here for Unlink instructions. https://theshow.com/faq/
I had better luck with the Website instructions than the In-game instructions, but that was a week ago so might be a bit easier now

If you unlink the account you get your progress. What they should be more clear about is that Whalen you link accounts, you more or less make a new account, and that's why the progress is wiped
I think it has to do with the order in which you do things, right? I could be wrong, but I think if you create an MLB The Show account and then link a console account, The Show account is dominant and shows no progress. If you create an MLB The Show account, then log out and log back into your console account and link The Show account from there, then the console account is dominant and your progress remains. I think that's what I did when setting up mine and it all worked out fine. I have not tried linking my Xbox account yet though. I think I'll wait until the servers aren't actively on fire.
You are correct. I learned the hard way that there is an order of operations to go with. In my case, this year I am playing on Xbox, so I should have created a Show account and first paired it with my PS account and then after added my Xbox account. At that point I pick using XBox as my primary going forward.
I didn't do that and it showed I had lost everything, but all I had to do was change the primary account on the website to Xbox and all of my progress on Xbox showed again. I lost 30 minutes or so figuring it out, but at least I didn't have to start over.
