This year's addition of stadium creator was a great one, unfortunately there was just too much missing. It's a great feature for somebody who just wants to throw some dinosaurs in the outfield at a 300 seat stadium in the middle of the desert. There are a lot of people who would like to make actual serious stadiums in stadium creator, and almost nothing allows for that to happen without major improvisation.Really hard to make stadiums when the stands don't even line up to the field, and none of them have stairs so they're just ongoing 100+ seat rows with no stairs. This feature has the potential to be great, and im hoping next year they take these things into consideration.

Also it would be awesome if the names list was alot more expanded in creation mode. Like for instance I can’t create Sal Bando or Sixto Lezcano because their last names are not in audio. Perhaps, I think SDS should go through the baseball encyclopedia and read off every name in that book. I know it would be time consuming, but worth a shot.
Definitely would like this. Anytime, they can add for more creation I'm all for it. As someone who has a very uncommon last name, and obviously have never had my name audio in a game, they should add more for some borderline names haha

Just realized I gat I'm going to have to get either Hits with Yankees batters or Ks with White Sox pitchers online to complete the FOD Program; unless I want to deal with the fiasco what is Showdown
Went into an Event game with a lineup full if Yankees hitters and Sox pitchers knowing that I'm only trying for Ks and Hits and will probably be outmatched.
Match up with someone rocking a WS Icon and this POS bunt dances and spans R2 the first two innings.
Quit before the end of the second inning.
Enjoy the cheap win scrub.
I have not played a single game of online all year, havent spent any real money on stubs, and I have just as much progress as anyone else. Have 99 Ohtani, 99 Acuna, finished Live Series, almost to 99 Mookie as well. Online play isnt needed, its much faster to rank up and superfactor players but its definitely more fun for me to play offline.

lmfao, relax yourself

Go to your inventory filter by overall. So if you want to sell gold set max overall at 84. You only get 2 rows at a time. Much easier.
might have to try that, still just sounds like much more of a pain in the a** than it should be

Get the app bro
I know the app and online is easy, but i spend all of my time playing on console. Its kind of annoying to have to go on my computer to efficiently operate a feature of a PS5 game

I don’t really mind doing it with MLB rosters but FA cards... that is just a nightmare waiting to happen. Honestly at this point I just use them for program exchanges.
I honestly just exchange FA cards and hope to get players on teams. Cleaning out my common FA will get me like 20 Bronze exchange packs

How do you put Jordan 1 cleats in the game, make it a diamond shoe worth almost 10k stubs, and not even allow players to customize the shoe the right way. Look up literally any Jordan 1 shoe, the collar and the body of the shoe are almost always different colors. Why group them into the same color? Allow players to recreate some cool Jordan 1 styles they see. Of course this game cant even do this correctly...
-
Is anybody else annoyed by the entire card selling process? When cleaning out my binder, I'll have like a full row of players to sell at the bottom. So I scroll all the way down, click on the card to go to the market, and enjoy putting up a sell order for each card individually. Then when you back out to go to the next player who was one spot over from where you just were, it takes you all the way back to the top, to which you need to scroll again to the bottom. This process gets even more annoying when trying to sell items with long lists such as team uniforms or bat skins, or god help anyone who puts in sell orders for the useless free agent cards. Either way, they have to make this easier at some point, right?

I was just coming here to write up a post about it, but glad to see you're feeling it too. It's honestly embarrassing... After every time I check my progress I gotta put another batting glove on, move my arm sleeve to the other arm, its obnoxious

@blbu75_psn said in Desired Stadium Creator updates which may or may not already be planned for MLB The Show 2022.:
Good list. I'd add a few things:
- Allow grouping of objects that can then be moved together. (Useful for moving entire decks up or down)
- Fix the field level pieces for behind home plate so they run flush with the field boundaries (there is only ONE field configuration, so how did this happen?)
- More signs, logos, scoreboards. Allow users to create signage within the editor.
- More grass textures (current ones don't look right, IMO)..add astroturf. Forget the physics, just give us the textures and base cut-outs.
- More flags (teams, AL/NL, custom)
- Address stadiums not being able to have night games.
- Allow for adjustment of field orientation once #6 is fixed.
- Allow us to place the bullpen ourselves.
EDIT: One more:
I don't understand why they can't remove the batter's eye requirement for non-competitive use. If adjusting the outfield wall disqualifies a stadium from online usage, then removing the batter's eye should do the same...just give us the option. Instead, they could include tarped sections of bleachers that we could use. Would go along way to helping recreate historic stadiums.
you nailed these on the head...
- Moving piece by piece to realign an entire level is obnoxious and time-consuming
- Have never understood this from Day 1. That and how the seating behind the dugouts seeps into the tunnels.
- 100% agree
- A lot of the grass in-stadium creator looks oddly colored and the current grass patterns are weird, with no option for generic looking patterns. But also yes, ASTROTURF!!!
- same as #3
- Time of day should mean something, to help with this make mandatory roofing/stands with lights on them
- Agree
- that and foul territory. Every ballpark in the MLB has different foul grounds, why can't I make my left-field foul grounds like Wrigley field with the stands hugging the foul line. The current one is Oakland A's-esque and with the glitched-out A+++ fielding of the CPU on any difficulty, you foul out on hits that would be out of play in almost every other ballpark. But back to your original point, yes the bullpens in foul territory make no sense to me, let me make a bullpen in the outfield behind the wall.

I've been playing MLB the Show since before it was even called "MLB the Show" and one constant all these years is playing a franchise mode where you can trade and sign players as you please and take control of any team you'd like. With that being said we've come a long way but there are still some things that I would like to see added to help MLB the Show's franchise mode catch up to other sports video game franchises. Here are the Top 10 I could think of (in no order).
-
Start Today - One of the biggest franchise communities across other games is doing team rebuilds. Taking control of a team over the course of a few years to bring them back into contention. In NBA 2K, you are able to start a new franchise from Today's Date. You load into the franchise mode on the current date, with current real-life rosters, records, and league statistics. For example the Arizona Diamondbacks currently (as of 8/19) sit at a record of 41-81. If you were to take control of the Dbacks in a normal franchise and simulate to 8/19, chances are you're not getting that record and in most cases not anywhere close. Start today would create a fun new experience for players
-
Shareable Team Designs - This is one that can span into Diamond Dynasty as well. We can download other users' logos, rosters and sliders so why not others team designs? If someone makes a really cool Montreal Expos rebrand, I should be able to download the already put-together logos, uniforms, and stadium. Also, not sure of any rights issues but allowing uploads of images to use in-game would be cool too and make for better quality creation
-
CPU Trade Sliders - There's an option to turn computer trades on/off. But let me scale from 0 to 100 the magnitude or realism of trades. I want computer trades on, it makes it more realistic, but Aaron Judge getting traded to the Pirates in May for Ben Gamel and a C potential prospect isn’t necessarily great either.
-
Managing Minor League Rosters - We can see which league each player on our team plays in (MLB, AAA, AA, A) and we can see each full roster collectively. But I think it would help if I could just see my AA Relief Pitchers instead of looking at the entire organization of RP. Not a major one, but could be helpful,
-
Depth Chart - Cool addition to this year's game, but why on earth is it only used to show me how players will be in 3 years. For the current year screen, you should allow me to move players around to generate my lineups from there. It's easier to see visually how your team lays out and who plays where.
-
Draft Classes - The draft is a cool aspect of each franchise mode, but we should allow created and shared draft classes. There are dedicated individuals that would create accurate real-life prospects. That way when you operate the 2021 Draft in your franchise you can actually pick people at least NAMED Henry Davis and Jack Leiter instead of auto-generated players.
-
Pitching Rotation Management - This one is pretty minor, but it can still improve. Say I make a trade for a #1 starter. I want him to pitch at the top of the rotation so I move him into the number one spot. The problem is I want to move my former #1 starter to the #2 spot in the rotation, but he just pitched yesterday and the #2 spot is pitching today. So I then have to slide my new Ace into the 5 spot or somewhere further down and the rotation gets all out of whack.
-
Coaches - We should be able to do things like Edit coaches, again to prevent from having auto-generated Managers. The hiring process could be easier as well in the offseason, like advancing day by day with updates on your offers instead of simulating 2 days to find out your top Manager candidate took another job, and now you’re stuck with a bad manager.
-
Offseason Free Agency - Similar to what’s stated above, there should be something that allows you to move along on a daily basis without leaving the Free Agents screen. I make 10 offers, back out to the menu, simulate a day, go back in and check my offers. I should be able to just press start to advance the day and see which of my offers have been accepted, who is still deciding, or who declined.
-
Trading - I think in trade scenarios you should be told whether or not players are on the 40 man roster. If I’m trading for prospects, I want to know if a 58 OVR 19-year-old with A potential is on the 40 man roster or not. He won’t be ready for the big leagues for years, but now he’s taking up a spot on my 40 man roster and I try to take him off, he will be claimed off waivers by another team. So maybe there are other prospects I could trade for, not on a 40 man roster, and it would be easier to see.
