If you add equipment to your CAP does all the equipment stack ? And does a plus to power or contact add to stats against righties and lefties ?

I have played him at 1B for a couple games and he seems to be okay, but just picked up Miguel Cabrera so I want to move Hanley to 2B and I’m not sure if he will suck.
