Obviously I would like PUjols, Wainwright and Molina back but until that point I would take the above.

Its criminal that the only 85 Cardinal in the game is Ozzie.

Certain sets were attached to specific seasons (AS/S2, OOP/S3 etc) but the only thing that made them expire was the season ending.

They could easily do the same thing with innings. Inning 3 can no longer use the inning 1 bosses for example. I'm not saying they will do this, but just because its no longer called seasons doesn't mean that they can't do the same thing.

NBA 2K uses the word "seasons" and the only thing they do is refresh the xp path (which is more commonly called a battle pass...most people dont realize that we have had battle passes in The Show for years, just no paid upgrade upgrade to it). No cards expire. But then nobody is rich enough to actually get the best cards in 2K...

It may just be me, but I feel like 24 was almost a filler while they worked on 25. I agree that content lacked and it was too easy to complete programs in 1-2 hours. I think SDS knew that sets and seasons were not a hit like they expected so they knew scrapping it was the plan for 25. If you got stomped its almost never because of what cards your opponent is using anyway. In fact, I would say people that buy the best cards are probably easier to beat than the rest of the population.

The All Star weekend was fine, but to me the game still suffered from programs being tiny and quite a bit less offline content than 2023. Was an improvement over the early months, but not at the level of most of 2023.

Even when they were releasing more frequent programs you could still get almost all of them done in 1-2 hours. I spent far less time playing 2024 than I did playing 2023.

I would say 2023 was far superior to 2024 in just about every way as an offline player. Programs were better, there were more mini seasons, and for the online players the sets were less restrictive. For a while 2024 had better freedom of program completion at least, but that faded in the last 3rd of the season where the task lists became extremely rigid.

With Innings, no cards will expire. If I remember correctly, each Inning is about 4-5 weeks. There are roughly 10 Innings. You will earn cards throughout each Inning with the boss cards having the highest ratings. There should be three boss cards to earn towards the end of the Inning, unless they change that. As the year progresses, the Inning reward cards gain higher attributes. At around the 5th or 6th Inning or so, around July, you should start seeing 99's as your Inning rewards. Funny enough this makes me appreciate the show more. 2K might be the worst publisher in gaming, and its impacting Civ in a bad way.

Losing Piazza would be a pretty [censored] big name too lose, and they didnt even give him a proper card all year.

This is another reason SDS needs to stop making online exclusive rewards. 200ms seems about right for ping from Asia to the US. Something like mudfish might help with that, but it does make hitting suck balls and pretty much everything in the BR and Ranked programs requires you to hit well.

A large part of the community doesn't want us playing online in the first place sadly.

But yeah, Santana as an OoP was disgraceful.

Unless something goes horribly wrong I am still in, but its like 24 took away the good parts of 23 (huge programs, frequent mini seasons, etc) and gave us what felt like half the game with a worse iteration of sets.

My biggest fear from 25 is that SDS doesnt understand that what people hated about 'sets and seasons' was the sets part of it and we get even less focus in 2025 and its just a bunch of random, tiny programs with no real content flow at all.

I am very confident the number of extra games I would have won if I whaled for chase and rare round pack cards is less than 2 and almost certainly 0.

Again, any of this anti-casual stuff you guys are talking about like effectively banning people in other countries form using online modes needs to come with the removal of online card exclusivity (which should go away anyway regardless)
