I know not too many people here care a ton about the Switch version, but it would be nice for it to perform well enough to encourage cross-progression, as that would be a neat feature.
Here are my initial thoughts with a side by side video: Switch vs. Xbox Series X Tech Test First Impressions
Hitting: This is probably the weakest part of the experience so far. The issue is reading the ball out of the pitcher's hand is tough, and by the time your eyes catch up to the ball, it's often too late. I don't know much on how this works, but it seems to be tied to the framerate.
Pitching Pitching was decent, besides a weird button glitch that happens with Meter pitching from time to time, and a slight adjustment in general to timing button presses a tad earlier than on Xbox.
Other: Fielding didn't feel amazing either- Like there was less time to react and make an adjustment- again, this (I think) is framerate related.
Visuals: Well...we knew it wouldn't look great, and actually the more I played, the more it didn't bother me a ton (with the exception of the pixelated pitcher when batting). It's more just the weird jagged edges on objects and characters, so I wonder if there's a way to "smooth" that out?
Online: Honestly online performed for me identical to offline- It's just the same issues mentioned above that are happening online as well.
Thoughts?
