The problem is there is no incentive because they have no competition.

This issue started in 22 when they tied the online bs into RTTS. Before last year this was not an issue, but this is what I have found to work.

When creating a new player, ensure it is selected in the top corner. Go no further, exit the game, restart it to ensure the new player is selected, and
continue with player creation and draft.

RTTS should be a separate mode like it has been for over a decade, it is a money grab to get people to buy cards.

I have been keeping track of my third basement, all the way through June. I have hit 23 doubles with zero outs. I was specifically keeping track of just the no outs combination. Out of the 23 doubles with zero outs on the board I have been advanced exactly twice. I sit there and watch batter after batter striking out swinging at pitches that are way out of the zone, or swinging so early that the ball isn’t even halfway there yet. It has been bad in the last couple of years, but this year just is absolutely awful.

I have this problem on playing a catcher in RTTS. No matter what team I’m on when I’m the catcher if someone steals a base by the time I get the ball they’re already sliding. When I steal a base, I’m halfway to second base and the catcher is already throwing it and that was with a +10 reaction. It shouldn’t surprise me though it’s been like this for like 15 years.

Unless you play a starting pitcher, it’s already too slow to level up in some places. My second base is struggling to get points because you can only get them from hitting. To be honest, I think they need to balance how many points it takes to increase each level. I understand it should take long but my goodness sometimes it just feels like it’s a grind. Kind of reminds me of the way the road used to be it was slow to get to the show. I prefer getting to the show faster because I get tired of seeing the same four fields all the time

I’m halfway through my second season on my two way player, I have every perk in the other categories, but zero in pitching.

I am in the same boat on my two a player. I have everything unlocked for hitting and fielding, but not a single pitching perk.

@goozefn_psn I don’t understand why, they took the time to ad ABS but not fix this. It makes no sense at all.

The amount of strikeouts in this game this year is atrocious. I played a full season on a powerhouse Yankees, and a full season on the powerhouse Dodgers and I got the same result. This was a full season after being promoted to the show. It’s to the point now where I just put my controller down if I hit a base hit or a double or even a triple. No matter how many out there are I score or advance a base one out of every 30 times. It was bad last year, but this year it is unbearable so much to the point where you just wanna dial up all the power numbers and just keep hitting it over the wall so your game will progress or you stand on the base and you watch strike one ball one ball two strike two ball three strike three. It does not matter if you have zero outs when you get on base they will strike out constantly. It is so frustrating.

@Rsalermo82_PSN You and me both. I’m so tired of all these stupid subscriptions. They nickel and dime us with everything, now you have 3 other subscriptions in order to watch all your games live and as a subscriber of MLB.TV that ticks me off. This year we have to deal with Amazon, Apple TV, and Fox. You can wait until 3 hours after game ends but is a pain.

I have had this on a pitching challenge. The challenge I had this problem with was strike out the side. It was for five tokens and a package I believe. I got the perk in the second inning and it went through the whole game and then it failed at the end. I did strike out the side when it first appeared.

I want to know they removed Don Mattingly from RTTS? I have been using it for years; now he’s gone.

I completely agree. The transition is a pain in the back side and it was cool for the first year or two, but all I can ever think of is here comes wild thing in the movie Major league every time it comes on and it just got old. Why do I still get perk bonuses when I already have all the perks?

I would love to see a way to put points into your pickoff move as a pitcher. Some pictures are really good at it and some are really bad, the really good ones actually practice picking players off. I think it would be really cool to add that.

I just wish we could hide the ones that they show I like wearing uniform with the long pants so I never put the socks on because it looks stupid

I am glad they went back to this mode of training like it used to be back in the early days. But token progression is seemingly way too slow, especially if you’re not a pitcher or a 2 way player. If you play as 2-way always take pitching when asked where you want your bonus from the manager. Level pitching first for faster promotions, you can always drop pitching later.

@makionodera_mlbts Hers an update. I created a new 3rd baseman, completed first 2 hs games and STILL no secondary position. I asked the devs thus on the live stream and they said it was available from the start. Flat out lied.its the only reason I bought it this year because I mistakenly thought they actually listened to us. Fool me once
