We want to win so bad and we're super competitive that the fun taken out of the game. We care so much about our records and stats. I have definitely been like this alot, yes the game has it's issues but I just realized that I have cards that I don't even use. I just use my main cards. Well we can have up to 4 different line ups and all with different cards. So I'm done woorying about my record and if crazy stuff happens in the game. Yes I want to win every game that I can but more importantly I want to try out different cards to see what its like to play with them, instead of using them for 3 AB's in a whole year. Yes I know events have you use different cards when they come out but they are usually not 9 inning games. So I'm creating different line ups and trying different cards I've grinded for or got in packs.

The Bottom line is, this games is atrocious. So many players in the community has multiple problems with it.

This game is freaking awful. I even took a few days away from it just to clear my head and see if it's really me being super bad at the game. Nope that is not the case this game plays awful. Fire your gameplay team!

Ok so I play online here and there, I don't have too much of a problem with it. But for instance with the programs from last year it seems like they really pushed online grind. The only offline stuff we could was conquest and I'm not a huge fan of conquest and moments I hope and pray that that we have more to do offline to help with is get through whatever program they gave us grind. Idk that's just my experience and my two cents.

I think as a community we can all agree that we hate moments.
-
Good /Okay should not be rewarded more than Good/Good.

No matter how many online games I play it how good my bullpen is or who I have in it. They seem to always collapse. I could face a team full of silver players and still late in games my gold or better bullpen can lose a game. I think I'm better off leaving my starter in for a full 9 innings Something visit up with pitching this year.

I really really do. A lot of things to get cards and to complete the programs you have to play online. Don't come at me with the whole "You can play conquest". I hate conquest as well hated it every since the show 17. I just played a few event games and I could just tell user input did not matter. My pitcher had a clean first inning then the very next inning he threw five straight balls. He walked the first guy but I wasn't trying to paint the corners I just wanted to throw strikes right in the zone and get the contact, But nope game wouldn't let me do that. Also my opponent pitcher was a walking my guys. I really felt the algorithm in that game where user input was non-existent for either of us. I don't think they would ever get online play right really wish there was another company that makes another baseball game.

Just a little humble brag I'm pretty proud of myself this year. Now every year since Diamond Dynasty started I put extra towards the game after launch. And I never completed a division collection whatsoever I've done starting team collection but never division collection. I can honestly say before the weekend is over I will have completed the NL Central collection without putting any extra money into the game after it's release. I'm so pumped and proud of myself I don't think I ever imagined me actually finishing a Division collection and on top of that the reward is Ernie Banks and I am also a die Hard CUBS Fan! I am so happy right now that I am so close. I just have to finish off the Cards and Brew Crew collections. I think I need about four more bronze for each team! Let's Go!!!!
-
Oh man it would sure be nice to open packs and get something else besides multiple bronze. I've opened probably about 50 to 65 packs so far and have pulled about 4-5 silvers the rest were bronze. No golds or diamonds. I'm definitely starting to lose interest in this game.

Idk if anyone else feels this way but playing the game on all star is so freaking frustrating. No matter if I'm playing someone online or playing the CPU, there seem to be some nonsense that seems to happen such as some bogus hits from either myself or opponents Animations are pretty bad and on average I can't score more than 1 to 2 runs. Yet I played two games against the cpu on hall of fame to do the blake snell program and I scored 5+ runs each game and I was getting good hits and my fielders weren't making any dumb any animations. Seems to me on all star I can never hit any HR's but on hall of fame my power hitters where actually smacking the ball out of the park. In those two games I hit 5 or 6 HR's with my best DD line up. I guess I'll try and play people online with Hall of Fame difficulty and see if my success transfer.

so you pre-ordering MLB '21 or nah ?
I will not preorder I might not even not even buy it next year honestly.

When I say that I mean everything is super challenging. It's like they turned up the differently on this stuff. The player programs Williams and Cruz seem to be way too hard eventhough it says rookie for most of the moments. Pitchers don't throw strikes in moments where you need to get XBH or HRs. Why do they give us pitchers who don't throw strikes? I rather face a pitcher who has outlier in moments where I need to score runs, get RBIs or get extra base hits. All this nonsense of get pitchers who don't throw the ball in the freaking zone or them hitting our batter and even just keep on throwing over to first base is super annoying and a waste of time. SDS please listen to the community. We are not having fun. All I've been seeing is people complaining about how awful moments are. I thought games were supposed to be fun and not this frustrating.

It's been a while since I've posted on here. But I've been playing quite a bit of this game. And with the life cycle of this game coming to a close. I just kind of want to give my thoughts in this game this year. First of all I got the early access I preordered this game. And I've played very consistently. But the biggest thing outside of the online play and all the craziness that comes with it. I think the 350K xp to get the the inning boss pack is too much. I really liked the 300 stars I felt like that was really attainable for all types of players casual and very hardcore players. So far out of all the inning bosses I've only been able to get Troy Glaus. I want Hank Aaron but look I have a job that I spend 8 hours sometimes more. Then I come home and play for a few hours before I got to bed and that's still not enough play time grind and put in that work to get reach 350K XP for an inning program boss. I get it there are people like youtubers who get paid for streaming this game and that's their job but for regular people like me who don't put real life money into this game after purchasing it and they want to have fun and still be competitive. It's really a struggle to try and enjoy it.
Also what the heck happened to the ability to go back to inning programs that have already pass? That's was a game changer right there. Why take that away? I know last year's game I missed like 1 or 2 innings and I was able to go back and grind online or offline to get those 300 star inning bosses. I really miss being about to do that.

I haven't bought packs since the first night I got the [censored] game. I've just been grinding without paying also not to mention my pre order packs I got nothing from.
-
There has to be some sort of a trick or catch to getting better results from packs. I feel like the same people in the community year in and year out get the best pulls. I don't know if I have create another playstation account to link up with this game? I think I'll have to try that and see if I get better results with packs.
-
I also refuse to buy headliners this year those are trash every year. I remember when video games were fun and exciting without paying real money in the game.
-
There's not much variety for offline players outside of conquest playing the cpu and frustrating moments. To grind for cards you really want you either have to play with them online and stay grind with online or spend money on the game for exchanges. It's frustrating playing online as it is considering the matchmaking is awful playing players who are well above your skill levels. Plus not to mention how frustrating hitting logic. For example my last game I hit about 4 perfect/perfect middle of the pci and they end up being outs for me while my opponent had a good/squared up hits left and right. I get it baseball is a hard sport and get sometimes line out hard but not as frequent as perfect/perfect in this game. Don't get me started on the pitching. Anyway hopefully they have better results for hitting and pitching starting on the on next gen consoles

The video Rival uploaded on youtube of him playing this game and getting frustrated is exactly how I be feeling. I know I'm not that greatest at the game, but seeing someone is really good at the game getting cheated by the gameplay says a lot about how this game plays. Which it is trash man completely trash.

I havent noticed any gameplay issues yet, as I juat started playing today; however I have heard about them.
My concern is that if a video game cause you to punch furniture; gameplay issues aren't the worst of your problems.
You are correct. Those are anger management issues just like rage quits(dashboarding). I dont quit when I'm outmatched. Worse case scenario I'll give a mercy rule win. Most of us just want a game that reflects user input.
Sadly this game does not reflect user input.
We want to win so bad
This game should not play like this.
