21 was a great game, especially for DD offline content which is what I play.

I will surely miss it when the updates are done. I don't know how 22 can top this game. In the videogame industry, especially sports games, it's very rare to have back to back great games.

Plus it being free on gamepass was a big win. But once they decide to take it off gamepass, I think i'll just buy a physical copy of it just to have around.

I may be older than most here but back when i use to collect, they use to have these special 'chrome' or 'sticker' cards in packs if you got lucky.

I got it on my 1083rd try. So not impossible.

Also they added another collection for the 11th inning program to collect.

I play strictly offline and in 21 tried some online but not as much in DD but H2H online.

I like collecting cards , doing the offline programs, conquest, all the offline modes.

At least offline, I know 10/10 times the CPU is going to play baseball. DD Online, maybe 3/10 times I'll match up vs someone who is going to play baseball. The other 7/10 times I'll match up with someone who is exploiting the game to win at all costs which is no fun for me.

In the last month or so I really liked the H2H Online (not DD) as I experience getting matched up with other players who want to play baseball more than DD. I'd say 8/10 players I've met on non-DD H2H online play baseball. H2H online also makes you strategize more since you're team isn't stacked with all 99s or 90+.

Nice and relaxing way to get into online. Really fun.

I had an incredible game. Down 6-0 in the bot 3rd, got 6 hrs, no kdding.

then the guy got 3 in the top of the 4th. I got 4 in the bot 4 to walk off win it w a Nelson Cruz bomb!

Guy quit while the ball was going out.

Whoever you are good game.

It was probably the easiest program to complete this year. I think I did it in an hour's time.

8.5/10 - best Show since 17.

As an offline gamer, the best Show ever and maybe the best sports game ever due to all the free content for offline gamers.

instead of behind a monitor and desk as some of us do that for work every day. Makes us feels like working when playing on a monitor.

If you want games that are fun do casual online or head to head non DD. There it's not about ranking and exploiting the game. The opponent actually thinks like a baseball manager thus providing a good game of baseball.

So if stadiums can be put in the vault, would that mean created stadiums from next gen can be downloaded on last gen?

I know they said last gen won't have the create stadium feature but if we can at least download new stadiums on last gen that is as good as gold for me. I'm pretty confident all the stadiums I want like Astrodome, Ebbets, Candlestick to name a few will be created by the community.

Hope this is an option.

I know there is the other thread about this but thought I'd start a new one on how to win 5 games events online for offline players.

Finally got my 5 wins today as a offline player! Sure, my record is probably somewhere around 5-25 but here are some tips :

1.Get the game into extra's where you have the extra runner on base.

2.When you get to extras HERE is the MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember :

P-L-A-Y B-A-S-E-B-A-L-L

Yes my offline friends, it's simple as that! (pointing my finger to my head right now).

-When you have the runner on 2nd, move him over to third. That means BUNT because I can't hit a lick online.

-When you'll have a runner on 3rd with 1 out. Either take your chances and drive him in OR .... the easy solution.... SQUEEZE PLAY!

You see, I've noticed a lot of these online players just play HR derby online. They don't even bother to play baseball. In extra's, the advantage overwhelmingly goes on the side of the offline player.

Get that run in, and of course if you have last wraps you win the game. But if you're the away team, save a shut down closer like Rob Dibble - yes the Gold 84 Dibble - in to finish because he throws 102 FB and 100 offspeed. ALWAYS PICK ROB DIBBLE AS ONE OF YOUR RELIEVERS!

Now on defense in extra innings, like I said before, hardly any of these guys move the runner over to 3rd. They're still swinging away . Yes you will get beat sometimes because some are very good, but if you have Dibble you're chances to shut them down are on your side.

-Few other things I noticed : Some players try to always steal w/ the runner on 2nd. Easy way to get them out is Pitch out or just hit the button that takes your pitcher off the mound. I've picked off so many guys from just stepping off the mound. I think they think you'll press X/A to advance but it will sometimes throw to the catcher. Dont' do that, just wait a second or two and they'll break for third, throw to third, easy out.

Also seems a lot of players have no idea how to defend a squeeze play. or even understand the situation to put one on.

Finished the program w/ those 5 wins. Don't need to worry about Felix mission or Brooks 8 hits (will never use this guy again - he's terrible at this game for me hitting)

There will be a month of server issues. Stick w the free standard edition on gamepass.

I did them since launch and got all the cards from them. Now I see the rewards are just cards I already have collected in the last 6 months.

I guess there's the 5000 stubbs reward but sort of a bummer.

The program is now for the late adopters, not for you. More time for you to focus on other stuff.

they should have rewarded us in some way for playing the daily moments since release.

If MLB agrees to Universal DH I think they will have to put it in all the DD game modes.

It's not free if you pay for game pass. The value of a game on game pass is entirely dependent on how many games you play from that service. But it is never "free"

But gamepass was only "$1 for the 3 months" . So I have 1 more month. So I see this as absolute win (insert Hulk Meme)
