Stat-wise, the Witt card smashes Elly's. Switch hitting and the swing matter, though.

Pass. It's like a baseline intelligence test. SDS could plausibly be accused of trying to take advantage of kids and other not-so-smart people.
Thankfully, my PS2-PS3 are still going strong after 20+years. I truly feel like I'm being forced out from sports gaming with this micro transaction/stub garbage.
It wouldn't be a big deal to me -- buy stubs if you want! -- if they actually made meaningful progress in offline modes, franchise especially.

Excited for that card, and not complaining, but isn't a 95 kinda low for the "lightning" player when the other one dropping today is a 93?
Honestly, no. If anything, maybe 94 would be better. Saying this because power creep is supposed to be a thing this year. We're a month in and we've already gone from 89's to 95.
Perhaps they're viewing the launch of NCAA as the cycle?

should of been The Big Bear Ozuna
I'm not sure they'll touch Ozuna with a 10-foot pole.
Could have been Tyler O'Neil, too.
There are lot's of players it could have been. They just have to cherry pick the stats they want to use. Plus we have a Classics program next week so maybe some of the contenders were already planned to be in that pack.
And, yeah I don't get how so many people are rooting for Ozuna when they pretty much cancel every other player who has had domestic battery charges against them, and that does not even take into account his DUI. Probably not a player MLB (and by extension The Show) is looking to promote.
Hmmmm...that reminds me...perhaps a Wander Franco card in the Classics program??? With an Ozuna throwback and an Alomar card?

To be fair, the live stream chats has been firebombed for years anyway.
Dang. Then imagine what it will be this year...
I'll watch just for that.

This year's launch and direction have been, at best and even for fanboys, mixed bags. For unbiased people, it's been bad. For critical-to-captious consumers (like me), it's been a pathetic trainwreck.
The chat would be absolutely firebombed. And it would be cruel to ask SDS's people to get on stream and shill and "shout out!" when they know reception has been more negative than it's ever been.

Fun fact: he's easy to trade for in franchise because the CPU massively devalues players who have big contracts. Sigh.
Kind of cringe that 2 of the 3 reasons they give are exit velo and hard hit %...
It's an interesting choice, for sure.

Repeatable pitcher missions in mini seasons with a lineup of repeatable mission cards. Showdown is not the move.
This is the way to go. Get a pitcher from one division, stack your lineup with hitters from whatever division you want to get points for, play 9-inning games against the CPU, and quit once you get 10 K's.
Rinse and repeat.
The smart way to go is to secure one pitcher from the 4 divisions that have pitchers and use hitters only from the 2 divisions that don't (ALE and ALW, I think?).
Monotonous but easy. Use it to test-drive cards.
I got all 6 divisions to 60pts at the same time and took 5 pitchers (3 SP and 2RP) and Dominguez.
Been knocking out the 42 Map.
But, if you have more than one TA 1 CH 2 pitcher, and go the 9inn route; I wouldn't quit after getting 10Ks either someone. Just swap in another starter and get another 10Ks.
Actually, I would quit out. If your lineup is stacked with players from a specific division, you could be meeting TA missions in-game and they won't reset until you're in a new game.
Either way, once you have the pitcher spam working, that's about 90% of it...
Right now I have a mix of players from each division.
I may switch to one division as my only batter from CH 2 is Dominguez.
You should probably stick to one division. It'll go much more quickly. Just make sure to use TA1 cards when possible.
There's no upside to not quitting at 10K's other than the 45 seconds it will take to exit out and queue up a new game. Then you won't miss out on credit for missions you meet in-game.

I'm at 405k. I am mixed on this long drawn out XP path. It is so different from previous years that it really isn't very motivating. It doesn't encourage me to play. It more is that I play and if I make progress, I make progress. In the end, I may not even make it to a boss, but it has caused me not to care, which is a good thing.
Saying that the reward path isn't very motivating highlights that DD is based on an addiction algorithm. Any time I'm reminded of that, I feel gross. I miss the days when I didn't know what the hell DD was and just played franchise...

Really! Hate to ask, but what's your lineup and rotation?
I've used Riley and Olsen with the BB, but not sure who else...

@aaronjw76 Actually, the bed is nice, but I'm about to teach AP in a few. Then tonight I'll be at my stepdaughter's softball game, then tomorrow the other to gymnastics, a nice full weekend of planning family events (May is busy).
Taxes sucked, but I got those done, too -- phew!
I guess I just don't accept a company taking my money and not delivering what they say they're going to deliver.
To each his own, I guess.

Let's face it, the best EVO program would be Bonds. From skinny 5-tool player to 2-tool hulking roid monster. The early version of him would still be viable, like a Lofton with more pop. The end boss would basically be the Ruth card with no speed, fielding, or pitching.

@SuntLacrimae50 Except 21-22-23 (don't remeber 20 enough), you couldn't achieve collections with NMS AND an outside live. You had to either miss time with your family or call in sick; or play the Wall Street Kid NES game with flipping on the market. Remember the blood diamonds? After the initial trickle, it never stopped.
You're probably right...I don't think I was active in DD in 21, maybe at the end? I don't recall anything about "blood diamonds," but [censored], that's a hilarious description. Whoever is responsible for it is witty as hell.

@x814xmafia didn’t work. Submitted a ticket.
Submitted a ticket for what? My god, what are we even doing anymore? So it didn't count, it's HOF, not even WS to get you a 200K stub card. Play another game and get on with it. But no, let's submit tickets for a game that didn't count that gets you nothing anyway.
I can't believe what I read on this forum some days lol
Apparently, you're a glutton for punishment. Your MO is to respond to people who complain, almost every time. So...
Waiting for your sidekick, that BJwhatever guy, to arrive in 3...2...1...

"This game is so jank" is an accurately succinct summary of 24.
-
I'm almost to Fingers, whatever that is?
Story's really good if you use the Buxton build. He's a killer fielder already, his speed will be maxed out, and his clutch will help mitigate his CvR. It's kind of a pure Buxton build card...

Who knows? They don't advertize these far in advance.
Probably.
