I might have solved this one….
Go into the community market and buy the piece of equipment and it should allow you to add it on to your player.
I went to my player set up trying to think of why this isn’t working and it hit me like Randy Johnson did to that bird lol. When you look at equipment you can place what ever you get from packs or from the market on your player. Equipment style is just the colour and how it’s presented. So I went into the market bought a cheap pair of gloves and sure as hell equipping it made it available in the style area for colours and how ever else. Now my player wears them.
It’s a stupid way of doing it but they may have designed it so that you have to earn or buy the equipment
