Easy. Don’t face Trout. You see him, you run for your life.
ironically enough trump isn't the issue for me. Played a guy who beat me last night and I completely shut out trout.

So I made it up to Wild Card after finally going on a nice winning streak two nights ago. Just started playing this game for the first time earlier this month and everything just clicked that night. I mercy ruled a world series player and was rocking kids. I get on last night and I was just awful. Completely lost my eye, was slow on everything, and didn't locate pitches well at all. The only difference between the two is that I didn't play moments for an hour or two last night like I did before. Regardless, I slumped back down to all-star and won back up to pennant.
My question to you guys is: How do you get out of a slump? Simply take a break? Jump in custom practice? Do you rotate your lineup for a day if you perform badly with players you're usually great with?
congrats!
all you need to do is beat a player with trout is initiate soft contact. laser focus. cutter inside always gets soft contact. usually players get giddy with trout so take advantage of that and make them earn a hittable pitch. if they show discipline then start going from high and low inside the strike zone
So far Ty Cobb has been the perfect lead off hitter for me. Really amazing card and is very clutch. Chipper Jones is another must-have, of course. I think the most underrated card is Johnny Bench. Gets overlooked because of the other catchers available, but he absolutely rakes for me. Diamond fielding along with that and you really don't need another catcher outside of Posey.
This is my first Diamond Dynasty game and my first time playing MLB The Show. I was complete [censored] when I first started playing. Been playing for three weeks now and I've been getting more and more better. Finally got out to wild card and I was able to beat a guy who made world series last year by mercy rule. Never felt so connected and it was my second time using Christian Yelich, who is very much a glitch. Don't know if I'm getting better or if that was just an anomaly. What have been your favorite moments of being locked in whether it's a rout or comeback? How do you keep the momentum going after such a game? I always stop while I'm on top especially if it's late night
