    Bad apples
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

Just my opinion. You may or may not agree. That’s fine.

I just played a game where there was no respect whatsoever for the game. My opponent was bunt dancing every batter, bunting almost every other batter, stealing at all points and replaying home runs. I’ve see people post about players like this but this was my first experience with them. I can see why the gripe.

The only reason (again my opinion) is that they have no respect for the game at all or for others. It is this type of bad apple that ruins the whole bunch. They are toxic. I tried to finish the game but it’s just not worth the aggravation. Be on the lookout for these apples cause they’re out there to ruin the game.

It's not the tv. Been using the same system for years. It's the 1.4 patch that screwed things up

You know what else? If a player needs to have a gaming monitor to hit a fastball, the game really should come with a disclaimer.

All the power to you guys who want to get sweaty staring at a monitor up close, but many of us actually want to enjoy just playing the game.

If that makes me “casual” in your eyes, so be it, but ragging on a dude because he wants to play a video game on a tv while sitting on his couch is pretty lame.

Amen brotha! Well said. I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone having an issue with the FB is playing on a tv (including myself) and those who aren’t experiencing an issue are on monitors. All I know is I play the game for fun and it makes it hard to do when you experience issues like these. I will admit hitting is a little bit better now but far from where it should be.

Yes, God calls it blasphemy and it is definitely bad. Jesus Christ is the only true Lord and Savior and the only way any of us will be saved from our sins and an eternal punishment in hell.

Amen brother!! Praise the Lord for that!!

  • Website fixed, it’s fine! NVM

Maybe instead of trying out new toys (new chat sites) someone should put those efforts into making a better quality connection for the servers and also a better quality connection for online play when matching opponents. Just a thought.

  • Update 1.13 Discussion
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I’m with you guys on this update seeming to be a good one. However, one issue I can see coming from this is it’ll mean more quick pitches from some opponents. Resulting in not really being able to look at the result of the previous swing. Hope I’m wrong.

  • Home runs
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced a game where your opponent cranks every hit over the wall on pitches that are either out the zone, low away etc. basically pitches that there should be no way to hit out? I’m talking about several home runs in a game not just a couple. Meanwhile everything you hit solid goes nowhere.
I experienced a game like this and was curious to see if anyone else had. (Serious replies please. Ex. Has nothing to do with leaving the ball right down the pipe)

  • Who did you suggest in the survey?
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I had Jeter, Hank Aaron and Pedro Martinez.

  • So fun playing a game I know in the 1st inning if I am going to win or not.

    Yep. Preach!

  • mlb 20 is the best show yet, prove me wrong
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I don’t know how many times I e heard someone compare The Show to real life baseball. I mean seriously it’s a video game. As far back as I can remember 18, 19 etc. this game has had many flaws and sadly it’s the only MLB game on the market. This year does seem worse than past years for now. Like others have said hitting , fielding, pitching etc. are jacked up right now. One would think after all the flaws from previous years one might know how to fix it all by now. Wait and see

Yeah I get that I can’t work on stage 2 till stage 1 is complete. I understand now how the 50 points work (totaling 120). What about the stage 1 voucher?

You only get vouchers by finishing showdowns.
    Ok gotcha. Thanks.

  • Cheating in Online Play?!?
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

Yes it is possible for cheating to happen online. It happens on other video games as well. The difference is, in other game’s like COD, there has been measures taken very quickly to address those who cheat.

  • So many.....
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I’ve noticed on here all the many different posts regarding the worst areas of play in this years game. Let me just say that this game could be more enjoyable no doubt! Furthermore, I agree with just about every area of concern in gameplay from pitching to defense. I admit I don’t play online near as much as some but lately I’ve started to notice those same areas of concern even playing vs the cpu. It’s like a virus that started out in online play and now has affected the cpu play.

One other horrid example I want to add to the list is this: playing vs the cpu I had Jason Castro steal second on Oswalt (Castro has 36 speed).

What is happening to this game as a whole!

@BIGHOOV2713 said in This is a new one.:

Holding R2 to combat quick pitching is kinda cheesy. But the guy claiming “that’s how event games are played” is reaching a bit. It’s not like dude was going to win 100 games today.

I wouldn’t go as far to call it cheesy. It only last for a couple of seconds anyway. Besides, he has the right to overlook the pitches that were thrown. Quick pitching makes it impossible to do without R2.

  • Harassment?
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I was thinking. This game bans users for certain types of posts and one can even report other users for different types of things. I wonder how many of you would consider a “pause player” a form of harassment?

I played this (can’t say) user who from the very beginning of the game would pause for a second or two before every pitch I threw him. Then the user would pause several times while I was batting after I got a hit. It was just over and over throughout the entire game. I was actually hoping he’d run out of time but of course the game kept adding time to his clock.

Finally, towards the end of the game I hit a HR off him so what do they do? Yes beam me. I can’t help but wonder why users like this can’t be reported under harassment or why they are not penalized. Oh wait. Never mind.

  • Harassment?
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

I agree with all of these posts and they are reasonable for pausing the game at different times. However, I should have added that he was pausing with every batter he had come to the plate. Not to mention at least 3 times per batter. So having that said I don’t see the reason being kids or other distractions being the reason. He would literally run his timer down to about 30 seconds per inning.

As for pitching too quickly I actually made him wait before each pitch cause I knew he was pausing so much.

  • Harassment?
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

    @Matt_42187 said in Harassment?:

    @raesONE said in Harassment?:

The thing is that you don't know why people pause the game. Maybe people have legitimate cause like a kid or a pet who all of a sudden causes distractions after you just started a game. I'm not saying people don't pause just to be annoying, but you can never prove it and therefore people will also never be banned for it.

If something is making you that distracted, why even play? I would get my [censored] handed to me if I was distracted to the point where I would pause every pitch in every inning. The guy was trying to mess with him, which is Bush league.

Exactly my thoughts. Overall I try to finish any game I play (unless the connection is so bad I can’t play then I’ll quit).

  • Jesus...
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

It happened to me last night too. I had to laugh and smh.

I think it’s a combination of several of the replies (rage, poor sports, selfishness, etc). In my case the player hung a pitch in the bottom of the 3rd.

My opinion is it’s the players who haven’t quite accepted the fact that they don’t control the game. The game does.

How bout we stop defending online only prestige or just deal with whatcha get! This is what happens when people are forced into playing modes that they don’t want to play.

You aren’t forced to do anything. The only reason offline players should want to prestige cards is if they try to collect every card in the game. Thats it. The plus 3 attribute literally doesn’t matter for any category except for fielding. Offline players don’t have any purpose to prestige cards other than personal satisfaction. You aren’t going to see much of a difference between diamond Larry Walker and prestige larry walker other than the diamond being red, which is completely visual and can easily be ignored

Well isn’t that one of the main reasons people play this game? To collect different cards. It doesn’t matter if you’re an online or offline player. Overall, it’s just trying to have fun collecting.

  • What’s the deal?
  • soonerfaithfullS soonerfaithfull

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard! Why would they do that? Just another decision made that makes completely no sense whatsoever.

    Thanks for letting me know.

Please for the love of god if you game is gonna be broken trash from here on out, atleast turn on balks so these bush league pansies will stop quick pitching!

Amen brotha!! There is one specific individual I just played that is the worlds worst! Not to mention other things they done that weren’t kosher. Anyway, I think they should have em. If you look through posts one of the main statements you’ll find is “well that’s baseball” or “it happens in real baseball all the time”. Well quick pitching doesn’t ever happen because of balks.
