Y’all what is happening with hitting?

No I NEVER use contact swing.

I’m squaring up ball after ball and everything is either lineouts or as if I’m hitting with a noodle bat. This makes no sense? Like a switch flipped and now I’m getting no hit by losing record players in freaking BR because I will lineout 8/9 times. I really don’t love complaining but this is insanely weird!

Maybe I just need to take a little break and come back but it’s been this way for 3 days straight now for me. If I sucked, I’d admit it but this is nothing to do with user input I promise you. Ugh frustrating. Sorry y’all.

Opponent just hit a ball to 2b and it froze game. Literally the 3rd time today on a random routine out….the 5th freeze in past 3 days. The amount of freezes overall is way up from when people were doing it intentionally, which is crazy. Sigh….time for a break for the day.

My guess is they gassed him up so people will go buy him because of the upfront negative appeal to his pitch rep. But now having people jump in to showdown and face him, I think the goal was for players to walk away and go “wow he’s nasty, I gotta go buy him!”

I’m at 28? I think I’ve done each day but not sure. It would be a nice idea to show what the max available points are…either that or take away double point days and make it the exact total days of month and we could know by looking at calendar (ex. Oh it’s July 23rd so I should be at 23 points.

Continually getting about 1 frozen game per day playing. I usually quit out bc it is what it is at this point…but my GOD can we please get these outta here at some point or an option to get “no result” disconnect by pressing something when it happens?

This one makes no sense really. Man on 1st, I’m pitching, throw a 0-2 pitch in the dirt, catcher blocks it and runner at 1st stays put. Batter didn’t swing and the game is frozen immediately?

Sweet. So I’m just screwed bc I don’t have a PS5 (which are sooooo easy to find and buy right now…lol) Welp might be better for my sanity to not play this event anyway lol.

Is anyone experiencing insane lag with this event? Is it the field or what? I’ve been home team both games and it’s still unplayable with the lag. I’m on a PS4 so I realize I may run into that but I am also connected with Ethernet cable straight into PlayStation and on a good monitor. Connection is fine on my end but I went from having great gameplay last night in Ranked seasons to now having to guess pitches on all star for this moonshot event. Anybody else having this issue? Is it the traffic right now bc event just dropped or just bad luck to have 2 choppy games in a row?

Never have had this happen before. Going into BR game and it’s just loading forever with both our lineups showing? Loading icon continues to move but nothing is happening? Anyone ever had this experience?

Hi there, this is truly me asking for some advice or maybe something that has worked for y’all.

I’m experiencing insane lagging and choppy play online. I have followed a lot of advice through the year but I AM playing on a PS4 (and yes I understand the PS5 runs smoother but we all can’t magically get a PS5 unfortunately)

I have a good monitor. I have my internet wired to PS4 instead of using WiFi now. I’m using my controller plugged in instead of unplugged now. I try my best to be home team / I check to see if lag happens when you are choosing pitcher and won’t play a game if it’s a huge delay scrolling pitchers. I also have adjusted settings often, based on YouTube videos of people giving optimal settings for PS4 smooth online gameplay.

However, nothing seems to work for me. I’m a decent player. (31-7 RS and have gone 12-0 in BR)

The choppy gameplay is making this almost unplayable for me. Even if there is no delay on pitcher selection screen, sure enough hop into a game and bam...you are left to just guess a pitch and swing with a prayer bc the frame rate is dropping so badly. (Oh and mind you I also have changed my settings and turned crossplay off)

So if you have any suggestions or have a fix to this besides “bruh get a PS5”, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Is everyone on BR cracked right now?

Sweet lord...my last 3 opponents records - I lost to each one (meaning all of these were my game 1 draws for a BR run lol)

needless to say I am taking a break for awhile bc it’s been a rough one haha

So maybe my next game 1 of BR run will be someone 99-0 lol. Where all the 9-78 people I see playing in a streamers 12 win flawless game.

Not to mention that 11 of my last 12 games in BR were against all winning records.

I’m over here throwing what must be beach balls to these guys I play in my FIRST dang game of a BR run lol.

Also getting challenge failed over and over in all game modes. 3rd time this year it’s happened to me. Guess it’s time for a break again!

Currently in a freeze off now. Intentionally walked to load bases and what do ya know....the Ole step off and throw home. So fun to play with people who just abuse games every possible way. Sent an email to SDS and now we hopelessly wait.

I really wish this game would just play out based on user skills and stop making it where bad players are able to be competitive. In BR the better player will hit line drive after line drive for outs and a bad player can strike out 7 times and win on a bloop late timing weak contact hit. I really don’t like complaining but I’m finding myself playing less and less this year. I’m gonna continue to run some stats on this but charting several games vs opponents with losing records and it’s just hard to chalk it up to bad luck when the consistency is happening in the numbers.

Just bad luck and need to practice more I suppose will be the answers.... sorry for the rant. Just hoping I’m not the only one feeling this way. I love the game and I love baseball but it seems something is off this year and maybe it’s simply they want more people to play the game and therefore they do what other games do and try and “set up” a “fair” gameplay by taking away from the more skilled player and giving to the less skilled player.

Sequence of Events:

1. I take lead on a 2 run HR.
2. Opponent brings in maxed out CAP submarine LHP.
3. Opponent gets out of inning and now bats in bottom half of inning.
4. Opponent hits a chop single with bad PCI and extreme late timing.
5. Opponent hits bloop single to center and I am unable to have control over my CF. Opponent overruns 2nd and the cutoff I threw it to now isn’t throwing ball to 2nd. He literally is just walking around after I’ve signaled throw 3 seconds prior. (Opponent literally was halfway between 2nd and 3rd and gets back to 2nd easily bc of this)
6. Opponent hits a late timing bad contact bloop single to Left for 2 RBI.

Just sharing for those who have joy from seeing others suffer through online play. Lol. I’d say I quit forever but we all know I’ll be back to break another controller sooner than later. Lol

Can’t get into a game. Also getting challenge failed...AGAIN...several days in a row where it randomly starts doing this...sigh

I also am unable to play any online all of the sudden. Continually keeps saying “no opponents found” within a half second of trying to load game. So frustrating. I’ve emailed and no responses. Awesome.
