Awwww... It's kind of making tech/corporate sense now. This is licensed by MLB and it's the weekend before the classic.
It's makes perfect sense.
Bandwidth and connectivity is prioritized to platforms and other events related to The Show, so that they don't have any issues. MLB only monitors the game through those events. If the events or streams are flawless, it gives MLB the impression that this game is functioning properly to the public.

Wow. Smooth gaming experience... The Show? Must be bots doing those entries.

This is too much now. This has to be escalated. This is pretty much a failure to provide a service which has been paid for. There's already people looking at bringing a class action. I doubt this game has met the uptime threshold. It's always having issues.

I'm also down. I bought new Ethernet cables, changed Internet provider, bought a new PS5, I also moved to a new apartment...... And nope ... All along it has been The Show that was non functional 🥴 dang. I figured it would be functional right before the dang ALL STAR GAME!!!!!!!

they got us again..... Lol ... They released an update and once again we have issues.
We keep falling for it. We keep hoping the game would run smoothly, especially after a new release or event. I'd like to see what percentage of time, this game has been up and running vs downtime.

Please please do not release a 27. Trust has been lost.

Kinda? It really really sucks!! I'm starting to think there's only one employee at SDS. I can almost guarantee that the employee that can fix the game took a holiday vacation and doesn't answer his phone because he knows whos calling

in the tech field...when there's an issue, it's always advised to give an explanation that cannot be proven but also does not put the blame in your system. Also explain it with higher level tech language. As it stops further questioning from those not familiar.

If this was or is a DDOS attack... Dont you (SDS), traffic scrub? As a multiplayer game, didn't you apply traffic layers to drop bad or suspect traffic??

Cool. Just another day, of not being able to play MLB. Another wasted morning. Now I have to go to work for the rest of the day.
Maybe tomorrow, maybe the day after... I might be able to find a match and maybe play?

SDS... Don't you run a release in Dev environment before releasing it to LIVE environment?
Don't you test if the new release has fixed the intended issue-and that it has not created conflict with other existing features?

What's up for real? If this were any other industry, it would be called a breach. You're taking advantage of the players by not providing proper service.

Stop deploying updates to LIVE without testing them in a DEV environment. Also, always have the previous infrastructure backed up- so that in case of an issue, you can simply return the system to the previous working version. Make sure to have the ability to quickly revert the system if there's an issue. This is kindergarten programming engineering tips. Come on bro.

I'm telling you. It will soon be exposed. What's wrong is wrong. Someone gonna either step in, or someone gonna give a technical explanation of why this game has failed. For example, how now all of a sudden we cannot find Dynasty matches in normal time. Either something changed within connectivity parameters, matchmaking, or reduced bandwidth. As soon as there is truth exposed it will hit the fan .

I'm sure one of y'all is already starting a class action. Many of the gamers are grown adults with professional careers that simply play this game (or try to...) on their time off.

What makes this whole situation very unbelievable, is how San Diego Studios completely absolutely ignores the entire community by only telling us that " they are looking into it".....
They never release a true formal reply on their site or here. They don't take responsibility or accountability. They don't express any type of sympathy for the gamers. Most of us have been dealing with this for years as we are major baseball fans. We have hope every year but this has ruined of baseball gaming experience. All we wanted was to play baseball, just like any other game. Thanks SDS .... "Good game"

I think it's time we as gamers come together and express our frustrations and disappointments year after year, to The Show's partners, affiliated entities, and MLB. This is the only sport game that has lacked the ability to allow consistent play.
