Actually, I'm surprised all of you losers took a break from jerking off in your parents' basement to reply. Pathetic little turds.

Why are you all fixated on number 42? Who cares? My point is, there's no need for retired numbers in video game. Idiots.
-
Why? There were many players who wore 42 after Jackie Robinson retired including Mariano Rivera, Bruce Sutter, Mo Vaughn, etc. This is a video game and we should be able to use whatever number we want whenever we want.
-
I'm hesitating buying The Show 26 mainly because of the retired numbers situation. Why is it necessary to put that restriction on the game? In real life, it makes sense. In the game, it doesn't. We pay money to buy the game and can't have our created players wear the number we want them to. I think it's ridiculous and all numbers (including 42) should be released from restriction, at least in Franchise Mode, so that we can make our teams the way we want. This would include having multiple players with the same number if we want to. Until that happens, I probably won't purchase The Show in the future. Maybe someday another gaming company will come along that has more respect for their customers.

What do they care? We're paying for the game, we're able to create players and stadiums but they determine what numbers we can put on our created players? That's stupid.
-
They should get rid of the retired number restrictions.

Can we just end the whole retired number thing? It makes sense in the real world, but in a video game (that we're paying good money for) there shouldn't be any restrictions like that. If I want my whole team to wear number 8 on the New York Yankees, I should be able to if I want. I like creating old time players and putting them on their classic teams but with the stupid retired number rules, Yogi Berra can't even wear number 8 let alone any other player. Please drop all retired number restrictions and allow us to play whomever we want wearing whatever number we want. WE PAID FOR THE GAME.
