They should put these out on launch day in 2026. If you pick the two correct teams in March then you should get a pretty substantial reward.
I’ve been craving tacos all day. I think I’m going to go get a taco.

I have seen this come up before and I’m not sure why this is a problem. The cpu should be better in October than April because now we all have god squads with 99s at every position. Not to mention most of us have been playing for 6 months, while many of us were still grinding off the rust back in April. If the cpu didn’t adapt and play a little better, we would win every game 18-1 or whatever and then it’s like what’s the point in even playing.
If they still allow that stadium where you can bunt home runs over the fence 4 feet from home plate then they don’t care.

500,000 in exchanges needed.
That's only like 500 plus commons and bronzes.
It's not like there isn't an easy way to add them all to the exchange at once...
Oh.. Wait...
Isn’t it 5,000 commons? Or am I doing math wrong again?
Why don’t you just buy 550 The Show packs, but make sure you’re only buying the ones that have 4 Judges in each pack. That should be good for about 1.85 million per pack (after tax). Multiply that by 550 and you’ve got 1,017,500,00.
From there, you’re going to want to buy 678,333 more The Show packs. This time, make sure you’re only buying the ones that have 4 Ohtanis in each pack. That should be valued at roughly 1.52 million per pack. After doing this 678,333 times, you’ll end up with 1.03107e12. That should be enough to buy more or less anything you want.
It’s a very simple strategy, but it works.
I see this brought up every now and then and I never understand why this makes people upset. At this stage, you’re either going to face a 99 SP or a 99 RP. Not sure why one is preferable to the other.
To quote a very wise Space Ranger: “Sid’s house? Andy’s house? What’s the difference?”

@Rhyno1986_XBL or hear me out. Wouldn't it be more fun and interesting if the decision to switch cards and form different teamswere strategic....instead of just "ok, I guess I'll play with this guy for a while to change it up"
Dude, they give you SO many reasons to do this. TA stat and PXP goals, stat grinds for every program (which drop at a minimum of one per week), themed mini seasons and events, captain bonuses for theme teams. I’m not really sure what other incentives you’re looking for? And, most importantly, I don’t know why we’re so dismissive of playing with new cards just to mix it up a bit. Trying out new cards just for fun should be more than enough incentive.
Why is this SDS’s fault?

We need a reason to build cool and funky teams.
If you want “to build cool and funky teams,” isn’t that a good enough reason “to build cool and funky teams?”
It was World Lizard Day on August 14 and we got nothing. Unbelievable!

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN So you're hitting about the same now as a few months ago? That's my point...shouldn't we be increasing our offense with 99's going against bronze/silvers? What is the benefit of these 99's? Do they only matter in multiplayer?
I guess, but I am thankful that they have fiddled with the sliders or whatever they’ve done to keep things even. I could consistently put together 6 or 8 or more runs with a team full of golds and low diamonds back in May, and I really don’t want to be proportionately better with a roster of 97+ diamonds. If I were scoring 25 runs in every conquest game then it wouldn’t even be fun anymore.
@Barfy-Bad-Gas_XBL said in Well… that figures…:
That's a lot of work getting all 30 to finest.
For sure! It took me like 5 months (or whatever it’s been)! I never play online, so I have no problem running suboptimal theme teams vs CPU. Even when stat grinding for Awards and other programs, I’ve always been very careful with creating lineups that work toward TA goals.
I still haven’t used a roster of players I actually like. I’m pretty much always working toward TA stat/PXP goals. I have a bunch of great cards I haven’t even tried out because they wouldn’t have helped toward TA goals. I still haven’t used Ruth, McGwire, Manny, or a bunch of other 99s even once because they would have taken up spots on my roster that needed to go toward TA grinds.
This reminds me of the World of Warcraft episode of South Park when cartman says “now we can finally play the game.” I’ve finished my grinds. Now I can finally play some baseball.
I finally finished my 30th and final team affinity all the way to the finest voucher… just a couple days before a new TA program comes out that will probably make the last few weeks worth of grinding completely pointless.
Oh well. Bring on more stat grinds, gentlemen. I’m ready.
Let’s get some Home Run Derby packs up in this mug.

Shouldn’t the runner be hustling just by default? (I guess unless you’re using Manny Machado)
@AppleLemon560_MLBTS said in In praise of grinding:
If you put in a grind that takes two hours, that's like just giving everyone a free card. Another basically free card means less reward for the player who does all the programs, all the collections, all the content, etc.
…..The whole point of a grind is to put up a wall that makes a reward valuable -
I will never understand why some people care about what cards other people have and how much they do or don’t have to work in order to get them. I hate annoying internet-y lingo like “gatekeeping,” but it applies here.
We only get so much time on this earth. I don’t see why anyone would fritter away their precious moments by getting their wang in a pretzel because other people have virtual toys on a video game that’s only relevant for one year. There are plenty of real, serious, unavoidable reasons to get your wang in a pretzel. If anything, there are far too many pretzel-wanging problems, to be honest. But I’ll never pretzel my wang over a video game (or — even more absurd — getting pretzel wanged over somebody else’s video game!)
Let’s all just take a step back and de-pretzel our wangs.
Quick baseball ruling question for the experts:
I’m at the plate, and the CPU airmails ball 4 about 10 feet out of the zone. Ball gets by the catcher and rolls into the dugout and out of play.
Shouldn’t my runner get 2nd base? My runner was only awarded 1st, which I don’t think is correct. As soon as I saw the ball squirm away, I even tried to direct my runner toward 2nd, but when the ball rolled into the dugout the game cut away to my next batter so I didn’t even have an opportunity to run. Is this an error in the game’s coding, or am I misunderstanding the rules?
ALSO… please give the D-backs some new cards. The new TN Lourdes is all well and good, but it’s just an upgrade over the Color Storm Lourdes. So we’re really not getting any new options for our team. Goldy and Gonzo both deserve awards or milestone or SS cards. Not really sure what the point of the “expansion teams program” was supposed to be, but that would have been a pretty logical place to drop some new cards for expansion teams. If I’m not mistaken, the Yankees have been given 9 (!!) new 98+ cards in the last two weeks alone. The snakes only have 1 card above 98 on the whole year. I understand that Arizona is the most storied and successful franchise in baseball history, so you want to show some love to less fortunate, bargain-basement teams like the Yankees. Your charitable spirit is indeed noble, but please don’t punish the snakes just for being so successful and for having so much [censored] appeal.
Jaws is coming back to theaters at the end of this month for a 50th anniversary rerelease. Seems as good a time as any.
