    Controller Preference?

Thankfully I’ve grown out of my habits of being like Puig and launching the controller across the room. A much more calm flipping up in the air and letting it hit my ceiling and land on the bed.

I am the same way, but this case was different. Had my girlfriend chirping in my ear/threatening to turn of the PS4 all game while getting completely shut out when I was two games away from WS tier. Never getting married; my MLB The Show career would be over.

It actually gets easier to ask for "alone-time" when you are married with kids. Both you and your wife will want space, because kids are exhausting.

I'm 40, have 2 kids under 3, and made WS twice this year. The only reason is because my wife I would go our separate ways for a couple hours.

This post is really just a humblebrag to say I'm an old guy that made WS

On topic: No preference on controller, but I do like Kontrol Freaks. Currently playing with galaxy (purple ones).

So I accidentally chose the PS5 version, any way I can still get access on the PS4?

Where do you see a record of your selection?

Sizemore will be a good Indians inning grinder vs the cpu, I feel that lofton is a better choice for CF assuming he is in the game

Sizemore will be a 90 power, 85 speed type guy with at least gold fielding, Lofton wouldn’t be a better choice

Sound like a hybrid of 90 Cargo and 96 Ellsbury? Both are great cards in '20.

Nothing mentioned about last gen getting access to stadiums from vault for offline. (sad face) Prolly all next gen. But excited for next gen users! 🙂

I'm curious to find out how they'll play online if you can only create them on a next gen console.

So if someone in a PS5 loads their stadium and go s into an online game and syncs up with someone ona PS4, the only way that stadium will load is if the PS5 player is the Home team.

But if the graphics, on a PS4, won't support the option to Create A Stadium; how I'll they support a stadium that is already created by someone?

He mentioned sharing across friends and there hasn't been any verbiage suggesting you can only use custom stadiums in next-gen. The stress has been on creating stadiums exclusively on next-gen.

Since they are limiting wall configuration for competitive modes in DD, I presume all platforms will have access to play in created stadiums as long as the stadium meets the online criteria.

Unless the way he described how dimensions had to be a certain way in order to play online was his way of saying you will have access to stadiums for match up purposes? Because i am totally fine being able to use and not create.

That's my assumption, too. In order to play CAS online across multi-generations, SDS needed to determine "rules" based on current gen limitation (limitations because the HW is older).

If there is a vault, a current gen user could choose a downloaded stadium for online play as long as it met the online criteria. If the user got matched up as an away team and the opponent is using a custom stadium, the current gen user should be fine.

I'm reading tea-leaves, so this is just my opinion based on the information released so far.

I never used a CAP, but weren't moments associated to your CAP? If so, that's essentially using your ballplayer in moments.

  • I think Ranked Seasons will be now based on Divisions

@yankblan_psn said in I think Ranked Seasons will be now based on Divisions:

I think it would be bad if everyone started back down at Regular Season when it resets; most people hang around AS or WC; now every new season world beaters would go back down into that pool and beat up lesser players, making the separation even greater and turning away a lot of players.

Or they might lose b/c those players have been practicing? No i think you start square 1 every season.

How would you like it if the team in real life won the WS and the league said congrats on winning WS next years record don't count you are automatically in the playoffs? Earn your way back up it's a new season. That's how i see it. If you are going to do competitive then do it don't half @ss it my opinion.

I see of it more like relegation and promotion in soccer - I know, I know it's a different sport. As others have mentioned, maybe it's a series format per division, something like (including ST to fit the Roman numerals I-V narrative, in case it's related to RS):

    • I ST (Veteran): 1st game in RS only
    • II RS and AS(Veteran): win 3 games to promote (no relegation)
    • III PR and WC (All-Star): win 3 games to promote / lose 2 game to relegate back earlier division
    • IV DS and CS (HoF): win 4 games to promote / lose 3 game to relegate back earlier division
    • V WS (Legend): play the rest of the season (no relegation) on this difficulty in Event style with XP, Stubs, and packs as additional rewards. This is where top players can duke it out for top 50

In DS and above, you drop down one division to begin the next season. So if you make WS, you only have to win 4 of 7 games in CS to "repeat." In WC and below, you start in the same division you finished.

    Advantages:

    • The top players will get to WS faster (which they are going to anyway), making AS and HoF divisions more tolerable at the beginning of each season.
    • Quitting/Dashboarding (not a problem, IMO) is less incentivised because you have a finite number of tries before relegation
    • Once you make to a division where the difficulty changes, you're guaranteed to play on that difficulty until you're relegated to a lower division and difficulty.
    • Presumably more players make WS throughout the game cycle

I'm sure there are many reasons why this doesn't work, so let's discuss it.

  • I'm creating a series that's all about helping you finally reach WS rank! Hopefully it can help some as a full guide through DD!

@Mistergraavy_PSN puts out good content. How do think RS will change? Do think SDS will get rid of rating based promotion/demotion? It's pretty to tough to win your 880 rating game only to promote +18 to 898 and not make WS.
