This is literally the worst idea SDS has ever come up with. I’m so sick and tired of facing 3-4 starters every single [censored] game! It’s out of control and just is plain stupid as hell

Lol the game has comeback logic. Anybody who thinks otherwise is in denial. I go up 5-0, 6-0, 6-1 all the time and my opponent can barely get a hit through 6 innings. Then all of a sudden all their batters turn into Barry Bonds and they proceed to launch 7 solo HRs and beat me 7-6...it’s starting to really [censored] me off and I am one of the strongest SDS defenders out there

I think it would be cool to have missions where you have to use the face of the franchise from stage 1 though. That way it would feel like your building towards something bigger with your player you earned

Sad part is they all suck compared to just bringing in a starter to close the game

This is Ranked Seasons. People are trying to win stubs, XP, and card rewards. They should have their entire 25-man roster available to them in anyway they see fit.

There are no rules in MLB that prevent a manager from using a player however they want. Position player as pitcher? Why not? A pitcher used as a pinch hitter or pinch runner? Go for it. Whatever you think will help you win the game. SDS did the correct thing by allowing us to do this.

What difference does it make if your opponent uses a SP out of the pen? Your job at the plate is to get hits. Period. Starter, Relief, Closer—it makes no difference. Do your job.

But I will say that if SDS wanted to reduce the usage of SPs out of the pen, they have to release better relievers. I think Rollie is the only reliever over 90. At least he’s all I can think of at the moment.

Lol this is the worst post I’ve read in a long time. Let me know the next time you see a MLB team throw any starter in back to back games just to win

Hold left on the d pad while matchmaking. It will take a little longer but it keeps you matched up with someone close to your ranking. Started doing it a couple weeks ago after reading about it and it made a huge difference and resulted in even matchups and fun games, in my experience anyways.

Yes its true. Just keeping holding the d pad left and wait for it to match you up. It will match you up with someone alot closer to your level.

I’ve defended SDS for a lot of things in the past and love the company and the game, but this is just getting ridiculous

Only possible scenario and it’s also a big “probably not” is Sosa and McGwire.

I could see maybe just McGwire.

While a McGwire card would be awesome, I don’t think he is truly iconic enough to be the collection reward. Two other guys come to mind, Hank Aaron and Joe DiMaggio.

Aaron “chased” Ruth’s career HR record and is one of the top 3 all around hitters in MLB history stats wise. (Go look at his career stats other than just HRs). Also, the “chase” for the 56 game hit streak is there for a DiMaggio card. To my knowledge, neither of those guys have ever been featured in the Show, so it would be an amazing surprise and a true reward to have it be either of them

Yes it is def more of a reach for DiMaggio. I am truly hoping it’s Hank Aaron and he makes the most sense to me. Also I just wanna see the reactions and see people flip out when Aaron’s hitting stats are like 120+ contact and power and he has 80 speed. People tend to forget that he was a doubles hitting machine and stole lots of basis and hit for avg. All around, you could argue he was just as good a hitter as Ruth, but with more speed

Generally it would improve the colors and lighting in a game. Which in turn could possibly cause a drop in frame since you would have to be in 4K mode. With this game being so dependent on timing Windows, I would recommend not using HDR and putting your game in performance mode
