    Change to Contracts RTTS
  • Ryobo_MLBTSR Ryobo_MLBTS

I believe that MLB The Show's contracts lack features and are just there for "roleplay." I think there are three ways to make them more interesting. Most of these will just boost ideas unless someone has a better idea.

    • You can buy temporary boosts or gear only for that saved ballplayer with your money from contracts.
      -Example, a 7-day boost to contact/power costs $20 million.

    • By signing up with a particular team, they will offer you a certain boost in stats. In hopes you will be encouraged to try to sign with a different team for the boost you are looking for.
-Example, Orioles and Dodgers offer a contract. Orioles will give a bonus to pitching confidence and contact. The Dodgers' contract will have power and fielding. (Maybe, an outlier?)

    • The larger the contract, the more boosts to your stats.
      $300 million, +5 contact and +5 power. $200 million, +2 contact and +2 power.

I bet there are even better ideas. These can be a great start to improving contracts in Road to the Show. I feel like 1 and 2 can be integrated together. I want to feel like I should be carefully choosing my teams rather than just keeping signing with my favorite team(s). As a Red Sox fan, if the Yankees offered a better contract, I would sign with them to improve my ballplayer.

    Thanks
