I had both on roster for extra inning game with no problem. Brought Hicks in as a sub, but the commentary referred to him as Kike Hernandez.

It does that. Probably showed you 900,000,000 outs for the final showdown. Have to forfeit and start over. Has happened to me more than once on at least 2 different showdowns

The good news is now you don’t need to do the showdown or play in events to get the Field of Dreams program done.

I have everything done except for showdown and online and have 98 ponts. Still have to do one if the other things.

Not trying to say anyone is right or wrong in this deal...just trying to provide a different perspective, especially if SDS really does read this stuff. In my opinion this has been a very fair and pretty cool program. It really is a bit of everything and there are an few ways to get to the end of it. Diamond Dynasty is not an online mode and it is not an offline mode...it is a mode designed around card collecting and some cards are obtained online and some offline. There are programs like Topps Now, POTM, Daily Moments, Evolution, etc. that really are only offline and an "online" player has to to play offline if they want those cards. There is a path with this program that allows a fully "offline" player to complete the program...where there are many programs that do not give the "online" player the same luxury.

I understand where you are coming from. It would be great for SDS to offer more online options to complete those programs for online players. I think the big thing is they snuck in that requirement and you wouldn’t notice until you did the math that you would be short without showdown or online.

I have started playing more online, but for the most part have been an offline player. I really wish there were more offline modes...even if you didn't obtain cards. I just get a bit nervous anytime someone says "take away showdown" or "take away moments". There really are not many offline modes in the first place.

I don’t have complainants about the variety of offline modes other than a reason to use your DD team for nine inning games.

Exactly. Moments and showdowns are both fine and I wouldn't have a problem with them if they were optional side modes and not the meat of the offline DD structure.

I dont know why its so hard to give us a mode that lets us play 9 inning games with our DD squad with some kind of structure and rewards.

They did. Until online players griped about having to grind. So they just completely got rid of it. Don't try to tell me they don't cater to online.

Stop trying to force these modes that people hate on us. They should be optional to complete a program (for offline players). Moments are the worst. No one says, "I can't wait for more moments". They say, "I HAVE to do these real quick to get back to playing what I actually enjoy".
If you're going to force showdown on us, you can't let disconnects lead to not getting the runs or failing completely. This has happened to me several times. For a casual player like me, runs are crucial. Maybe I am wrong and just venting because I hate this mode and it is causing me stress that I won't complete a program but I think I have some valid points that SDS needs to hear.

I believe SDS is merely trying to spread some variety to the many diverse gamers out here and their ever spanning thirst for quantity not quality.

Just give Showdown a chance. The Devs are doing the best they can to be creative and accommodating to all. It's a tightrope they must walk.

I have played that showdown five times now. Three times I failed the first mini boss. The other two I failed at the second mini boss. So much time wasted for nothing. Go ahead and flame me for being bad at the game. I never sniffed online to bother anyone else online playing the game. I have zero issues doing more moments (which I know many players hate) or higher stat missions to make up for it.

Don’t feel bad man. I’ve been struggling with this showdown too. Also I Love the user name.

I've tried twice. First time it said I had around 900,000 outs to beat Henke. Then whin I started it was an exhibition game(I guess) with Grisham of Padres leading off. The second time said the opponent had an invalid lineup. 1000 stubs lost without ever playing.

The point is that if you're an "offline" player, you're good enough to do the online portion. Many "online" players are not good enough to win in online. That's why we play offline. Just offer two or three stat missions to match the 3 online stat missions. They can be harder if that's a concern. I don't care. Just want the same options.

It's not like the only option is Showdown... you could skip showdown and play online for the points or skip online and play showdown. I like showdown a lot better than moments. They are never going to just giveaway 99s.... you have to play a little bit to earn them.

That's fine. Just give offline stat missions, too. They can make them ten times more than offline. I don't care. Just give us the option.

I'm referring to the live series upgrades. Defense ranking is too low. 70 arm strength? 70 fielding? Bader, Mullins (among others) higher rank? Come on. I know I'm a homer, but....

Just did the McCovey daily and got 320 XP. 5th inning XP shows 100. First time I played anything since 5th inning dropped.

Title says it all. Too many average players or one year wonders ranked higher. Ridiculous. 3 year base my azz.

I didn't realize how much better you people are than others. Thanks for enlightening me. This forum really blows now. So much better 3 years ago. No help anymore. Just judgement every post. Some of you used to be decent. Now .. not so much. The days of a helpful forum are over. Dbags win.

I did the moments and got him, but this was dirty by SDS. No way you should be able to sell him AS A 99 if he isn't going to remain a 99. I do not blame those that have sold him as a 99, this is on SDS. He should show as a 91 on the market (or whatever he was). For those who buy him, this could be the dirtiest thing SDS has ever done, intentional or not. They need to keep him as a 99 now.

It is not clear what will happen. A casual player is not going to research a 99 they see on the market. Everyone does not read Twitter. When I first seen it I thought it meant the Moments would only be there until the 29th. Thats how many people are reading it OBVIOUSLY. No one is intentionally buying a card that is going to lose skills in a week. I realize you do not care about anyone but yourself, but surely you see the problem here. .

I would prefer that he can't be sold as a 99. That is totally not fair to anyone, and there are many, that did not realize he would drop to a 91. I didnt even buy him myself, but I see how someone could make this mistake because he is listed on the market as a 99.

Remarkable. The game gives you a free 91 prospect card that's needed for collections, and was limited in supply. They then boost his attributes to celebrate the fact that he's been the #1 prospect in baseball for the past two years. And they give him away for free by doing 5 super easy moments.

Now you're not comprehending what your students would. He's saying the card should not show a 99 in the market. The 99 is unsellable. It should be on the market as a 91. He is right in that aspect. If the 99 is unsellable as they state, then why is it there? It's deceptive. I get it. You get it. Not everyone does.(obviously. They're buying it for stupid stubs) I see his side. You've let the dark side of the forum get to you. It seems to have that effect on even the nicest people nowadays.

That's what I don't get get. Everything is tied to DD. Why not have moments, conquest, etc. be like RTTS? If you're playing the computer, why have it tied to DD? This may be an old man question. Tech is not my forte. My daughter fixes/explains my phone's new features to me.

Fair point, but why do some feel the need to be a duck about it? Just comes naturally I guess.

It used to be helpful and informative from both players and mods. Now the mods are MIA and the comments are full of dbag posters. Many threads on an issue? Who cares? Does it affect your storage? Just pass on by to something you might have some knowledge about to help another player out. How hard is that?

Vanish" It's about the secret history of CIA paramilitary armies, operators and assassins..I knew alot of this but it gets down extra deep. Still waiting for this [censored] login to go through. Maybe he doesn't have many good relievers yet. Could be new to the game. Could be other reasons. Could be because he was the best reliever on the White Sox in the daily moment. Duh.

Perfectly legal. Happens a few times every year. Usually it's off of a pitcher's foot or a pop up bobbled by one player and caught by another.

How do you get a POTM card AND go down 2 points in the update?
