Can you actually code, though?

I mean, there's been hundreds of fools that have commented in this forum over the years about how illogical cpu team management is. Nothing has ever been done about it. I'm not saying you're a fool, I'm saying even the nittiest of the nitwits calls this game out on its dumbfounded logic and it falls on deaf ears.

There's so much that has to be done to bring this game back to the immersive experience it used to be. Lets hope this "Madden" thing brings sports gaming out of the darkness it has fallen in to.

When y'all gonna learn it's a scam. It's NOT designed to be a fair game, a great game, an E-sport. It's designed to psychologically get people to buy stubs before chasing them away. A complicated task in and of itself to straddle that line, but a scam none the less. You can argue all you want with each other, but I don't feel sorry for you anymore and I don't blame SDS or EA or whoever anymore. Y'all get what you deserve. Suffer, you fools.

Are you saying the game is trying to evoke anxiety in you to hopefully lure you into buying stubs, i.e. skewing mechanics to delay favorable outcomes, displaying countdown clocks in the menus, etc.?

I like it and I like it against the cpu on the competitive setting. I think it's the best option for representing the decision making of real life pitching. When I'm grooving, I'll throw anything. When I'm off, I give up on certain pitches in certain situations and default to fastballs. The only thing I'm worried about is if I'd be able to completely master it. I don't think so, though.

Well, to be fair, the developers (MLBTS, NHL, Madden, 2K, etc.) themselves have sucked the fun out of the games by trying to herd and con players into spending extra money on their casino simulation disguised and a sports game. So, what goes around comes around? You live by the sword you die by it? Some [censored] like that.

I mean I"m not putting a rubber band on my controller to walk in runs. Nor will I use Chronos to play for me. In fact, I'm completely staying away from anything online. It might be fun 10 percent of the time, but the other 90 is nothing but scamming and conning and rage and bull [censored].

Just to see if you actually collected all 40 and encountered a bug or if you were just missing one. Theres an option to 'select all' on the collection screen. Be sure to press this so you dont miss any individual cards.

I'm pretty sure he had all 40. I went over it a few times, but who knows. I'll look for this "select all" option. I didn't see that when I was looking for a solution, so I obviously missed things. Thank you.

Square on the collection menu will let you auto select. Then hit start and lock them in. See if that works.

The "Full Minors" was a hoax. A bait and switch. There's nothing "full" about it. They have more real prospects than they normally do, but it's the same 3-tier system with the 15 player A ball and plenty of fake players. It was just a bunch of hype to string along the Franchise/sim players for another year. What's more? The rosters seem to be causing problems for cpu management and there are still severe problems with cpu logic. Many legacy issues still exist and it doesn't look like they're going to be addressed because the little DD darlings are complaining and threatening to not play, so no cuh-ching is priority.

Also, consider gameplay. Right now it isn't solidified yet. They can't fix the slew of problems (nothing new) and each patch changes the game, thus it could be very frustrating (again, nothing new) having to adjust to patch after patch especially if they break new things each iteration.

I'd say it's business as usual and it's going to be a frustrating year in which you'll end up hating the game and walking away. You'll probably have a little fun and then find too many things unbearable to suffer through again and again. If you're willing to risk that and have nothing better to do, then go for it.

Of course it doesn't. The game is manipulating you. It has to let up on you so it doesn't completely chase you away. It wants to frustrate you so you'll feel anxious and buy something that you'll perceive to be a solution to your problems not have you walk away. It will be squeezing you again sooner than later. Bet on it. Don't fall for it and don't over think it.

I agree with everything you've got here. It sounds like you want an up to date realistic version of baseball. I do too. In fact, I'd like all of sports gaming to fix their games and get them up to par, as we sports gamers who prefer real life simulation require much more sophistication than what the currently being produced. However, the greed has led these companies down a dark, dark path. My fingers are crossed too.

It's not about baseball. It's not about making a great video game. It's about creating a piece of software that manipulates dummies into spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on virtual nothingness.

Mission accomplished.

Proof: you said it yourself, the game is broken every year. It's getting worse and worse. Yet, the dummies keep throwing their money at it. The manipulation worked. SDS knows just WTF they're doing.

Now, if they were to sell The Show, it means the name "The Show" has more value than "MVP Baseball" and EA would gobble that $hit right up. They got a hard on to get the baseball dummies to overspend on 1s and 0s. And that just means an even $hittier game.

Where we at, guys? I'd imagine starting a franchise now would be regrettable as there are probably a slew of things that need to be fixed and some of which would require a restart (I'm sure we've all been through that frustration).

So, if we can get a consensus of things I'll make a check list in this post.

• Start times for multiple teams are wrong.

• No night games when using created stadiums.

Playing offline conquest on Legend, I get a 2-0 lead in the top of the first just to have it equaled in the next half inning on two pitches off the plate for oppo-homeruns. One of which was Altuve. He can't even reach the other side of the plate!

This is coming after way too many occurrences like this. Whenever the cpu wants, it can put the ball over the fence or put your pitch wherever it wants regardless of input and it always seems to be a matter of a comeback.

Please tell me I'm missing something, because I'm getting real tired of this game fast.

Is Legend not more difficult, but can just screw you? This is not baseball, it's just a mind-fukk.

Seriously, does this nonsense have to effect offline play too? Is it because it's conquest and it's part of DD?

this is such a crappy attitude to have. We all paid for a product that worked at launch and was marketed as being fixed from last year. after pre-launch weekend the game was totally changed! So everybody that didn't pre-order it and watched videos on YouTube seeing how awesome the hitting was, they were totally duped into buying the game which was then changed. How is this not a reason to complain?

Nah, a crappy attitude to have is to blame literally everything that doesn’t go your way on the game. I have a LARGE sample size from this year’s game as well as the last four games. So whenever I hear y’all whine about how the game is scripted and screwed y’all and takes no skill and completely up to luck, I just rolled my eyes. Because I’ve been consistently wrecking people online for five years. We are all playing the same game. If something doesn’t go your way, just move on like the rest of us..

That's the thing, though. You're not all playing the same game. The adjustments to code are done locally based off of user profile. SDS hasn't slipped up yet, but it's been proven for other companies. But no doubt SDS is using the same tactics. They want their share of the market.

You're correct, there are a lot of whiners, but the game is not legit. It's not designed to be. It's designed to evoke an emotional response of anxiety to herd the weak into curing that anxiety by buying a perceived relief i.e. packs. It's nothing new, this sort of thing has been going on since the beginning of language.

I know you won't believe any of this, but as it unfolds over the next few years and becomes more of a mainstream topic, the low-IQers, like yourself will start to get mad that you've been taken advantage of for so long and thus we'll have a change, though, it will probably be just a change to another shady practice. Sorry in advance, I know you're not going to take this well.

I agree completely. These additions would be fun. However, to bring this game out of the darkness it has fallen into, much needs to be done first to make these things worthwhile.

I really don't want to go through all the work of creating a team and a stadium, just to start play and discover once again that Spring Training is still senseless, trade logic is still a joke, the financial system is still at 3rd grade level yet no one understands it, team management has very little resemblance to real life, and playoff management.... what the?

I'm not saying your suggestions shouldn't be implemented, but SDS will just use them to sell us a still incomplete broken game as they did this year with "complete minors". That was a joke. That was a total EA move.

SDS is in the darkness. They're following EAvil. There needs to be a paradigm shift first. Hopefully, the revolt that's happening with Madden will save sports gaming.

That being said, The Show is coming to Xbox. Not because SDS is worried about baseball fans who will only have an xbox, but because they want to expand their DD scam.

Remember, The Show was intended to be a masterpiece exclusive for Sony, designed to help lure people to buy a Play Station. It didn't matter if it made profit or not. It had to be on the cutting edge every year. My, how things have changed because EA figured out how to psychologically manipulate people into spending millions on virtual nothingness. SDS is just following suite. We need a miracle to save sports gaming.

Even Madden's franchise "updates" (I'll believe them when I see them, but man I hope they fix it) are spread out over two years. I don't think there will be much done this year with the next gen systems just coming out, and next year their plans can always change depending on MUT.

Yeah, I'm not expecting much either. I'll never trust EA with Andrew "Evil Eyes" Wilson at the helm. I'm just hoping the #fixmaddenfranchise movement awakens the silent franchise/dynasty player and these companies, that have turned EAvil, will fix our beloved sim modes.

In all honesty, I really don't care how unscrupulous the MUTs, HUTs, and DDs are, but with all that money flowing, I want a fabulous franchise.

I'm sure the morons on both sides could create a scenario where SDS has to backtrack and issue a statement that begins with the words "While we always strive to do better....".
